The pool wasn’t heated which makes it a bit hard with kids. Theres also no atmosphere at the pool at all. No music, no staff, no drinks, snacks etc. Also I thought it was strange that I couldn’t get a drink there at night. Not even a single glass of wine. We were referred to outdoor bars which again is a bit difficult with kids, late at night.

hotel is in a great location, very central and easy to walk everywhere. facilities are very good, staff are helpful.

everything was lovely. Hotel was very accommodating, we had a family member arriving at 6.00am (not staying at the Carlton) but they brought up extra towels so she could shower. Hotel’s position was great and breakfast terrific too

Would have been nice to have free breakfast include in the price but to be honest it wasn't something that bothered me as I wanted to try traditional breakfast at places like local cafes or hawker centres so it actually worked out pretty well.

Very smooth check in, all the way from arriving at the lobby to getting my room card. Staff were all exceptionally professional and very friendly as they welcomed me to a new country. Super spacious room for myself as a solo traveller. I managed to take a bath after a pretty intense few hours of walk in the city centre. I especially liked the chromecast function on the TV which allowed me to play my own videos on Youtube. Appreciated the hair conditoner in the bathroom, for someone with long hair it's something I always hope to find in every hotel I stay. Extremely clean overall and I liked how comfortable my sleep was with zero noise outside at the corridor and excellent sound insulation between rooms.

The A/C-Fan made some humming noise which became irritating when it was running continuously. But during night time we switched it off or left it on a higher set-temperature to avoid the noise. Sorry staff, I forgot to mention it when checking-out. It was room 1505. We didn't like the constant renewing of tableware during breakfast, by the staff . Even a fresh plate which I left unattended at the table was taken away within seconds. A problem in Singapore hotels that goes back to my first visit some 35 years ago. Not very sustainable, not a sign of courtesy nor quality and above all, it's irritating knowing that I constantly had to go back to the buffet to get what I wanted. But not a topic to downgrade the overall quality. It just needs attention from the management.

We liked the location and the overall quality and comfort the most. The breakfast was very comprehensive and with a lot of variety. Good shower, big safe deposit box and silent room.

I would have liked to try some of the food from Wah Lok, I think some of there dishes should be added to the in house dining menu.

Would be better if there was a bar. Could make use of the bar/snack bar by the pool. More sunbeds would be better. Better lighting in the rooms.
