Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IraqThe toilet wasn't clean. Having equipment in the toilet for people staying there to clean the toilet would be helpful.

United StatesDid not enjoy our stay here. In their description it claims to have a shared kitchen, but it does not. I was specifically looking for a place where we could actually cook some of our own meals, and they only provide a kettle, microwave, and fridge. In their description they state they have ac, though it does not mention that the ac is only on at night. Singapore is so hot and humid. The room gets so hot and stinky during the day.

New ZealandDidn’t look like photos, rooms very small and cramped. Lots of long term or people looking for work so not typically for a solo traveller.

Taiwanthe rooms are dirty especially the washroom. we booked 2 double beds for people, but 2 of us moved out just after staying one night and booked another hotel. So money used in booking this hostel was wasted. If you care about hygiene do not stay here. Also I had back pain issue and there were empty bottom deck bed. However when i requested the staff they refused to let me shift.
one thing that was is that they allowed us late checkin

MalaysiaThe airconds they open only from 5:30pm until 8am. Not 24hours or anytime you can turn on the airconds. Not worth it to pay for this at all and you'll be sweating all the time. Even my pillow there is a blood on it.

India14 persons in one room was a bit too much. There is one bathroom in the room (and 4 common bathrooms outside) which sometimes get dirty when used by so much people, but still I think you need to adjust to that if you are staying in the hostel. Hostel staff do try their best to keep it clean.
The location of the place is superb. It has 3 metro stops : Jalan Besar, Little India and Rochor nearby. Lot of Indian restaurants nearby. The bed was big and comfy. The price was quite competitive given the location. Staff were nice and helpful.

United KingdomAs 2 young women the location couldn't have been worse. Every time we left the hostel (and at times in it) we were uncomfortably stared at by older men who looked like they wanted to jump us. If I was travelling alone I 100% would not have stayed as I did not feel safe at times. I would highly recommend choosing a different location if you are a woman! The bathroom facilities were also unkempt and dirty (pee on floor).
There was a curtain on the bed however I'd say this was the only positive about this hostel

PhilippinesNothing I couldn't really complain about except the WiFi, it was a tad bit slower in the rooms compared to the mini kitchen/lobby area, which seems fair I suppose.
What you see is what you get, really. I got what I paid for, and it's still in a decent location in Little India -- you just gotta take a 2-3 minute walk to Little India station, which is ample exercise, considering you're in Singapore.

United StatesA great find in Little India, home of some wonderful Indian vegetarian restaurants. (Do yourself the favor and try Komala Vilas.) The rooms were clean and I saw the staff cleaning the common areas a few times a day. Travel from this location is easy. Firdaus at the front desk was very knowledgeable and kind.

AustraliaThey didn't provide a top sheet, only a blanket. The bathroom tiling was made too small for a shower cubicle, and water splashes off anyone having a shower, so the bathroom floor and toilet are constantly soaked with water. They request that no flipflops be used in the rooms, but anyone who shares showers should use flipflops in the shower to avoid athlete's foot etc.
Little India was an interesting place to see. The hostel is fairly close to Little India station. The MRT (Trains) costs only SGD$1.93 each way from Changi airport, so great to break up a flight to Europe.
