Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThere is no breakfast served at this hotel, this might be an inconvenient. However one has to know that Tiong Bahru is well-known for its French bakery which is also neighbored by Merci Marcel. Two places where they serves various breakfasts and excellent croissants as well as coffees. You also have a big choice of local foodplaces, all within 3 to 5 minutes walking from the hotel, situated in a wonderful 1930’s district. So no breakfast at the hotel is finally a blessing to give the opportunity to discover Tiong Bahru.
The rooms are quite big for Singapore, in particular the executive. We went there during our move out of Singapore with 5 big and 2 small suitcases. No problem even if we had to open them all at the same time! Knowing the size of a room in Singapore even in a condo, this was really luxury. The staff is super nice and helpful. The comfort and cleanliness of the room are excellent.

AustraliaFound the shower overall unsuitable to use. The over head shower was a problem. No proper support for the hand shower, making it difficult to use. No inward slope on the shower floor made for water to go everywhere over the floor, hence we had to be very careful that we did not slip over. Messy patchup work on the tiny square tiles beside the toilet. Peeling plaster/paint on the wall behind the small Roman blind near the hat rack. Had to ask for handtowels and washers. One bath towel had torn edge and was obviously old.
Bed very comfortable. Room quiet. Jug was a challenge initially. Would have preferred a simple old style jug to heat hot water for coffee and tea. Staff very accommodating to us with an early arrival from the airport and stored our baggage so we could go off and fill in time till we could get a room after a 12 hr flight. The male receptionist on duty till 10pm on 23th July was exceptional. He took an interest in sharing his knowledge of Singapore with us. Consequently our time in Singapore was greatly enhanced and we enjoyed it so much.

AustraliaThe property needs a lot of upgrade and maintenance that seems to be let go. Rooms and bathrooms a little shabby, lights dont work, no tea in room, had to ask for hand towels and toilet paper on arrival, no longer serve breakfast. All in all a disappointment for a place that was once on the boutique and special side.
We have stayed here several times over the years as a stopover rest from Europe back to Australia, the beds are always comfortable and the staff nice and friendly. Location is close to some good local restaurants at fare prices.

AustraliaLook the place is clean, and kinda refurbished. It's not bad but if you look too carefully you'll notice occasionally dripping showers, scuffed sheets etc. It's not a deal breaker especially for one or 2 night stay. Especially for the price! Would also really appreciate a couch in the room if possible like the room is BIG, again bigger than allegedly international hotels down the road. It seems like they try to play it off as minimalism but it comes across as empty.
Awesome staff. Honest was a bit taken a back because my previous accommodation down the road (a 4.5 star "international" conference hotel) has such mediocre service that I thought these people were way to nice and professional. Like yeah they wear polo shirts instead of blazers, but so what they are way better, greeted me with a smile, actually asked how my room was, and was actually proficient at English. As someone here for work, and this booking was a addon, it's well worth a stay if you are not after "buffet breakfast" or "sauna/steam rooms". They actually had a gym which I didn't know until I checked out, it's nothing fancy, but if you need a quick workout on a work trip, it's enough. No restaurant internally, but you have 2 hawker centres within spitting distance and Chinatown 15min walk! It's not "directly on top" of metro, but walkable if you're used to walking a block or two (300m). Not to mention you're near the hospital station which is one of two stations in Singapore with 3 lines intersecting!

AustraliaThe noisy Chinese neighbours next door talking loud and slamming doors.
Ana and Hafiz the receptionists were very friendly and have a cheerful disposition. The bed was so comfortable. Very easy walk to Outram park station very privileged to stay in a hip area of Singapore with locals and some expats ( not too many). This hotel is catered more for solo travellers, solo business travellers or couples. I hope the hotel can focus more on this. My 4 nights were peaceful and quiet. Not a family hotel. If you are a solo quiet traveller or couples with no kids or infants. This place is for you.
