The staff, particularly the young man whose name I don't recall, was very solicitous and kind. The room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Loved the decor, particularly the chandeliers.

Definitely not a 4-star experience. The matress was uncomfortable, (two single matresses put together), the room was too small, and there was no shower head which made it har to shower properly, and the shower is also leaking. There is no staff in the hotel during the night, and if you go out or stay out past 9PM you have to lock/unlock the hotel front door yourself. This is not particularly inconvenient, but it is not something that one would expect in a 4 star hotel. No kettle or phone in the room.

Amazing location. Delicious breakfast. Very clean. 5-6 minute walk to a public parking which is free of charge during weekends.

All rooms seem to be up or down steps, so may not be suitable for less mobile people.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Most impressive with their fluency in 5 languages (and that's just what we heard!). It was a wonderful location, easy to get to from the airport via taxi, and close to walk to all the main parts of the city. The hotel itself was gorgeous, and the room very comfortable. It was perhaps a basic breakfast for some, but perfect range of food to give you a great start to the day.

Staff were very friendly and helpful for anything we needed. They also recommended some excellent eating places nearby. The whole place was very clean and well equiped. Being British, we missed having tea-making facilities in our room. However, we were delighted when we were provided with a kettle. Disaster averted for British couple abroad!

From the moment you enter this hotel, you will step back in time to a period of decorum and sophistication. Each room is furnished with period decor, and you will feel transported back to another era. The staff are absolutely delightful. They look after you like family. They will go above and beyond your expectations to make you feel welcome. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hotel reception and management team: Luca, Tina and Noura. Such wonderful people! Breakfast is simple, but filling. They will make you eggs exactly as you like. Definitely coming back!

This is a magnificent hotel which I heartily recommend to everyone who enjoys staying in the heart of a historical town. It is in a beautiful, yet quiet street with all the historical landmarks, such as the bridges and the castle, within walking distance. The breakfast is adequate and the hotel comes with a beautiful lobby. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. (And Ljubljana is a lovely destination if you take it slowly and take the time to actually visit its sights, go to a couple of museums and churches, walk up the hills etc., rather than just taking a picture of the bridges and leaving.)

Refrigerator a bit noise.... if someone have a problem with sleeping could bring an issue (i not have issue probably tired from traveling and also a lot of walking). Only one coffee m/c which combination for coffee n hot water for tea which seem a bit inconvenience and peoples waiting during breakfast in such limited area.

While breakfast was delicious and there was the option to have freshly cooked eggs, a wider variety of foods for breakfast would be encouraged to accommodate to the needs of all guest.

The staff and facilities were lovely. The room and overall feel of the stay was very quaint and humbling. The location is excellent. Breakfast was delicious with the option to get freshly cooked eggs by staff. Would highly recommend in the future.
