Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThose two rooms were connected and everyone had to go through each room for taking a shower or going to the WC and this for 15 people if fully booked. There should worked on to get a better situation. Any hocks or hangers anywhere and the lockers are to small.
The place is nice and the crew friendly and helpful - they offer free coffee and other little things for free what is remarkable. The kitchen is small but well equipped and organized - location is central and somehow you have good atmosphere altogether.

TurkeyThe Hostel is on the top floor and there is no elevator. Relatively untidy, chaotic, and unclean (toilets and bathroom) places. My power outlets were not working.
The location is great and very central, however, the city is already very small. Was very convenient to enter the hostel at a late time. Kitchen and culinary equipment. Cozy and warm atmosphere. Free lock provision.

CroatiaI didn’t like that other guests were making a lot of noise in front of our door (in the kitchen) while we were sleeping, even after we knocked on the door to signal it.
The location is great, the bed was comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful.

UkraineThe only 1 toilet and sometimes you must wait, even though the place wasn’t too crowded
I liked everything about this hostel! The atmosphere was just great! They have provided all the kitchen supplies, spices, tea and coffee are free of charge! There’s a washing machine and a drier that you can use. The building is very nice in the city center of Ljubljana. If we are ever back here - we would definitely book this place again.

United KingdomThere was only one toilet between up to 10 or so people so often couldn't use it when needed. The walls are quite thin and it isnt a large hostel so could hear everything in the kitchen if people were talking loudly at night, which we had to walk through to get to the private room/toilet each time. It wasn't a huge problem for us however. The bunk beds in the private dorm are comfy although had one small pillow each, but we only stayed for 1 night so it wasn't a big deal.
We stayed in Ljubljana for 1 night. Location was amazing, 10 min walk from main station and about a 3 minute walk into the city centre, which isn't huge anyway. There was a Spar shop quite close by and lots of cafes/restaurants. We stayed in the private room, I think there is an 8 bed shared dorm and the double private room we had. We had our own shower and sink but the toilet in reception is shared between everyone I think. Room had great a/c, a clean decent sized bathroom and a large bunk bed which was comfy. There are plenty of plug sockets and lights. The kitchen was really well equipped and clean and they had free food/coffee for us to use and share between everyone. The staff member who helped us check in and out was really lovely and helpful, everything went smoothly. The room was spacious and had the right amount of storage space for our backpacks and clothes. We didn't use the washing machines but there was a balcony area outside to dry it and sit out on I believe. Good value for money and we were able to see everything in the city we wanted due to its handy location. The castle funicular is about a 10 minute walk away, maybe less.

Not for all people, maybe is better for young or person who know how to adapt a lot. Maibe is better to arrive with public transport from airport, no with a private car.

This hostel was in a great location and very clean. I only spent one night and was ok, but not sure I'd like to stay longer. Only one toilet and one shower room for all guests. Might get a bit busy! However, I was perfectly comfortable.

GermanyTwo forms are connected and you have to go through one to get to the only shower and through the other to get outside/to the kitchen. This means there is a lot of disturbance. Also, there is one shower and one toilet for 16 people.

Everything! Cozy ambience, nice and polite guests. The kitchen has a lot of free stuff, not just utensils and cutlery but also spices, coffee, tea, etc. The location is close to the city center and bus stop. I could leave my luggage both before checkin and after checkout.
