Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EstoniaThe room was quite tiny and lacked privacy. There was only one light for the entire room and we didn't have a bin in our room. If you are planning to cook there, bring your own stuff as it lacked basic utilities - no sharp knives, no plates, forks etc. The rooms were not soundproof so you could hear talking from next door and also in the hallway.
The staff was really welcoming and helpful. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price although it wasn't anything special. There were common rooms. Plenty of room to store your belongings. The hostel has made a Google Docs document for all the information you might need for tour stay in Ljubljana.

Netherlandsthere are almost no vegan/vegetarian, allergy-friendly options for breakfast it’s well sound proofed when the windows are closed, however during summer & with temperatures above 30°C and no A/C in the room it’s impossible to keep them closed. because there are many young people in the area it was extremely noisy all throughout the night. moreover, the staff at the reception was really friendly and healthy, but the cleaning & breakfast staff were quite rude!
great location, friendly staff at the reception

GermanyThe door is partly made of glass, so you have a bright room every time somebody passes the floor. :/ It is loud once ppl start talking.
I really liked the breakfast options. A bit more for vegetarians would be great but I had forgotten to say that in advance, so they might have done that as well. Very relaxed atmosphere and cool staff. Never found the cat though ;) Also, perfect luggage storage options. Thank you so much!

AustriaFrom the description, I had no idea that the hostel was student accomodation. I was travelling alone and hoped to meet other holiday travellers of different ages. Unfortunately although the facilities were adequate, I missed the social exchange.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast was good but a bit poor. The kitchen was lacking in basic staff as plates and pans. We couldn't bake a pizza in the oven due to this lack.
The room was exactly as shown in the pictures and it was clean. The common bathroom was clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. It was in a great location only 10-15 min walk to the city centre.

United KingdomPrior to my arrival, I received an email containing of 3pages info, but nothing about the best way to get there, type of info many hotels would provide these days. Now that I know all answers, I would suggest passengers that from main central city station of coaches or train, do not ever look for any buses or trains, but download a Taxi company website from Google Store for instance, and go for that cheap taxi fares about £4 door to door transfer with mind peace. No Uber or Bolt taxi running in the city but a local company that works very similar to the major taxi company. There are also some issues with the street number 26. The hostel is not actually there but behind that building with considerable distance. My room had too many wardrobe and shelves, and looked like a uni dormitory room.
Nice and friendly staff, very helpful.

United KingdomThe coffee was not great. A toaster would have been great too but the bread was very delicious regardless.
We were across from the bathrooms and maybe it was a quiet period of time but we mainly had them to ourselves. Also, the kitchen was next door. The staff were very helpful, we were a day delayed by a missed flight connection and they adapted our reservation. The rooms had lots of storage and ours had AC which was very welcomed. Good breakfast. Very family friendly

LithuaniaThe room has no a/c nor electric fan, so expect it to be hot . You cannot open the windows, otherwise bugs and insects will infest the room and you cant sleep. Breakfast is a school breakfast. Price is too much for the quality of accommodation.
Close to city center n attractions nearby You can cook. Has plenty of toilets and shower room, but Shared toilets, means not everyone knows how to maintain cleanliness
