Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Everything was perfect.
Everything looks brand new and squeaky clean!!! Not in the very center of the city, but just 5 min by bus (there is a bus stop just 30m from hostel), or 20 min on foot. Nice and safe neighbourhood with park, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, bakery etc within 70m radius.

The host was friendly and super helpful. I really liked that it was quiet, probably be cause it isn't in the city centre, but the location is right next to bikes you can use if you download the BicikeLJ app (for only 1€!). Only a 12 min bike ride from the city centre. Super clean too!

Everything was perfect ! The staff was really nice and really helpful ! The hostel is really clean and modern ! There are some city bicycles next door that you can use to go to the center ! Cheap and efficient !

Nothing, the hostel is great. Some may prefer to be a little more central, but I walked everywhere and never took a bus, and also felt very safe.
A small hostel, family run with lots of pride. Great on cleanliness, traveller safety, and communication. Extremely professional and friendly. Cosy clean kitchen with additional desk for work/charging. Bedroom spacious and light, not crammed, 2 lockers. Fantastic bathroom.

A bit far from the Ljubljana center, but easily accessible by public transport or shared bikes.
I was in a shared room for 4 people and we were two there. It wasn't very easy to find the hostel entrance, but the instructions worked well in the end.

I felt a bit cold
The hostel was clean and they made sure it stayed clean. I enjoyed my stay, it was calm. Not too far away from the city center, nothing a taxi or bus couldn't solve.

The decor is a bit bland and IKEA-esque, frustratingly the kitchen seems to have no oven and my bed had no bedside light despite all the others having one. Very quiet when I visited in late September 2022. Went to brush my teeth at half ten at night to find a very dark hallway with all the lights off!
Nice hostel, the rooms were clean and modern. Bathroom and kitchen, personnel friendly. Bus to town leaves right outside the hostel more or less so very convenient.

location is far away from city center but if you can take a bus or tam or train it is like 15 minutes away from center
it was very clean and helpful staff. Also kitchen had free pasta it was nice.

It is quite the walk to the city center, at least a 30 minute walk, although there is a bus next to the hostel. Even though I enjoyed my stay I thought the price was little bit too expensive for an hostel, but I guess it is what it is during the summer season.
Staff was very nice, room was big and comfortable and everything was super clean. Two lockers and two power outlets per bed was a nice plus. All in all it was a pleasant stay and I would stay again.

The place is a little bit noisy because of a road next to it.

Only a minor point. Not having a common seating area (except for the kitchen) gave the hostel a bit of a soulless feel. But what it lacked in soul it more than made up for in functionality!
Spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen. Staff friendly and very helpful. The location of the hostel out from tourist area, in a business & residential area, a short bus ride from the centre I see as a positive. It allowed me to get a good feel for the city. Nice local sports bar a few 100m from hostel for a relaxing evening beer.

Kitchen is very tiny
