The beds, at least in our case, weren't super comfortable. Take also into account that, being a historical building, it does not have an elevator, and the rooms are distributed in three floors

Chateau Appony is located in beautiful park close to the forest with hiking or cycling possibilities. We enjoyed our stay, the service was very good, the food delicious and staff very helpful. The wellness is quite small but nice and clean and not crowded during our stay. We went to the restaurant for the dinner and the service and meals were extraordinary. No problem with parking in the hotel area.

It’s a little hot during summer

Chateau Appony is located very clam area with small mountain back. There is very good wellness with 12m long pool and sauna. Breakfast is good as well.

The only restaurant had one menu for lunch and dinner, no specials for dinner. Also the restaurant serves as a bar so no alternative within the property to socialize. The food was excellent!

This was the first place in which we stayed in which receptionists did not know what attractions are nearby but luckily there is a thing called "Dr. Google" (and Čičmany painted houses were a great place to visit albeit not necessarily close). The screen nets were supposed to keep insects out but they were broken or missing in places so we had to fight few flies through the room. Other than that. we're still unsure why we were given the most remote room (other than for losing few more pounds on the way to it :o)) when the whole place seemed empty (can't say deserted though). The restaurant was... meh (= kind of OK) but again lots of flies buzzing around (probably not great with food) and to this day we did not figure out why the server had to fold the tablesheets next to us. Oh, and one more thing: for some strange reason, their veal tasted a lot like pork (ummm, probably because that is what it was...).

Newly renovated old palace. Everything looks great and new and being so close to the woods we did not feel the need for AC. The room and bathroom were literally huuuge, each about the size of a flat in many European cities. The furniture was kind of worn out but OK.

The only problem was lac of AC. The staff were kind enough to change our room after the first night. I would suggest using a ceiling fan.

The property is a big renovated estate house. Proper spa, that might be a little crowded in peak hours. Good restaurant with nice selection of Slovak wines. Appony castle ruin is nearby (2 km walk away).

We would appreciate at least one vegan option on the menu in the restaurant and more fruits/vegetables in the breakfast room. Also there is no lift at the property which is not a problem itself as there are only two floors, but you have to carry your luggage to your room yourself.

It's the real eyecatcher. The hotel property is beautiful and our room was stunning. We loved the decoration and the size was perfect for us too. We also visited the library which with its amazing interior and interesting story. We had dinner in the restaurant and the chef prepared a delicious meal for us outside of the menu as there were no vegan options included.

I love the atmosphere of the hotel, the meals served for dinner are exquisite, the breakfast choice is fabulous. I love the surrounding, the decor, the staff. Simply beautiful. If you are looking for a special place to stay not even 20 minutes drive from Nitra, do try this place - it is a very unique experience.

No AC in my room, only a fan. It was quite hot during the days I was there - but manageable with the fan.

The location is incredible - the nature around is beautiful. The facilities are very nice, breakfast had a nice range of selection. The restaurant on the property is also very nice, the food was delicious.

We were there the same time a wedding was on, and therefore the ordering of food at dinner time was really slow. As the same staff were working the wedding and the restaurant. Shame as if this hadn't have happened it was have been an amazing stay.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. Plus could speak English. The room was really beautiful. Food was amazing. The spa facilities were really lovely and relaxing. Plus the building is beautiful, worth a visit to the library. We had a few issues but they sorted them out and upgraded us and treated us to other things. Great customer service.
