This was my 2nd time staying at the Lion Hotel in Chumpon. I came back because I liked it SO much the first time. I was so impressed by everything the first time around and my 2nd time around did not disappoint either. The rooms are very well done and quite spacious with a nice big bathroom as well. Super comfy big beds and lots of "little" touches to make my stay even that much more enjoyable. For example, the mini fridge, the super soft towels, the shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower, plus the hot water shower. Even having the plug ins by the bed are really appreciated. Not always the case in Thailand. Very friendly, helpful staff and a fantastic location. Exceptional value for your money. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I plan to go back already.

Comfortable bed, clean, coffee and boiling water available to use, good location (quite central and within walking distance to train, food options, scooter hire, bus service). Friendly staff.

Room without windows, but this is a personal thing as I love natural light to wake up to. There was also a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom at one point too but this doesn't bother me too much.

The staff were super lovely, the beds were amazingly soft and so comfy. Free coffee, bike hire on site and in a good location for night markets. We hired a bike and spent a while day biking through the national park and by the coast. Such a beautiful day.

When asked to extend was told ok. In morning different staff demanded additional room rate. Disgusted I left.

Had to buy some mozzy spray to clear room of mozzys. Killed 12 by hand before sprayed room. Ok after that. No windows in room.

The property is tucked in a quiet street. We used this as a stopping point after travelling by train from Trang, on our way to east coast. It was a short tuktuk ride from train station. We arrived at 9:30 and after checking street stall came back to restaurant one block from hotel for late dinner. Also close to minivan office for our next days travel

Had a great relaxing stay here inbetween some hectic travelling of Thailand. Bed was comfortable, the private bathroom was lovely and clean. Many nice restaurants in walking distance too

Lovely room right next to the coffee ☕️. Staff were very helpful, had to put a clean me sign out if you wanted a clean. Free water every day. Good WiFi, would stay again

Great location. Shopping mall around the corner. Coffee shops nearby (bar 99 I liked) also a nice bar close by and smoothie place. It’s ideal to stay in Chumphon for a night whilst you’re commuting. The lady who runs it is lovely and helped me arrange a transfer to the airport for 150b. Room as clean, spacious and water in fridge.
