Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The curb appeal of the alley entrance way before arriving
Private pool was amazing, and was getting full sun from around 11 am til about 2 pm, at least during April (hot month, lovely to have a pool!). Breakfast was amazing... in fact way too much food to eat but very nice. Villas were very quiet, so it was peaceful. Only downside was the initial "curb appeal" of the alleyway that you have to enter to get here with the cluttered garage with stuff everywhere and 7-11 garbage... but be brave, the villas themselves are very clean and welcoming! High ceilings, large rooms, great staff!

Loved having our own pool for a morning or afternoon dip. Staff was very helpful and the rooms are well equipped and clean. Breakfast was also wonderful:)

Breakfast was just okay but that was our experience in most hotels in Thailand. Not for us.
We loved the private plunge pool, which was such a lovely treat after wandering the Old City in the heat. The bed was very comfy, and the high ceilings made for a spacious and luxurious stay. The room was kept lovely and clean each day and the staff could not have been more attentive. One of the best stays on our 2-month trip. Highly recommend for a few nights.

The staff at the villa were attentive and friendly during our stay, and we were grateful when they posted my sandals to another hotel after they were left. The pool is kept warm, which is lovely for swimming and relaxing.. The rooms are large and showers are great. Everything seems walkable from the accommodation and it is very peaceful. We loved staying here!

Beds are a little firm, but we all slept well.
Spacious rooms, the most friendly staff, perfect location in the Old City, yet tucked away in a quiet spot. Incense burned outside each door at night was a nice sensory touch.

My wife expressed that the villa feels like a giant locker room as it lacks soft features in the decor. Visibility of the villa's location can be improved as it's tucked away in a narrow alley from the main road.
The huge bath tub and the private pool in the villa were an amazing touch for the pricing. The helpful and responsive staff that catered to our requests and queries. Excellent location as it's just located opposite to one of the main temples in Old City and is within walking distance to most other attractions.

Wow, what a place! Perfectly positioned in the heart of Chiang Mai but so quiet it was like an oasis. The room was lovely, the staff went out of their way to help you. They even decorated our room for my partner who celebrated his birthday whilst we were there!

Breakfast menu was limited and also gave you a lot of food which I couldn’t eat, I don’t like to waste food
It’s hard to see from pictures but you get your own private courtyard with the pool, it was so calm and tranquil I would love to stay here again

This place is incredible! The room is amazing and I just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. I even left my necklace behind and they posted it to me, excellent customer service from staff they were so helpful .
