Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOnly thing I can complain about is the rocks on the beach. But they actually give you complimentary water shoes to wear.
The property was very clean and nice. I liked all of the selections for food and drinks on the all inclusive menus. We enjoyed the 3 pools and the pool bar. The staff were really nice and professional. The staff members that stood out were: The hostess Lelyla, Chef James, and the bartender Wann. They helped make my new fiancé and my trip the best most memorable. They played huge parts in helping me celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and with my proposal.

SwitzerlandWe were disappointed with the beach.Lots of dead coral so hard to get in. The picture doesn't show that. The food for Thailand was good but quite expensive. The gardens and pools were beautiful and the setting as well.

AustraliaMy initial expectation was that I would be staying in the same Le Meriden resort I had stayed at years ago. I didn't imagine another resort in the same province would take over - and advertise under - the Le Meridien's name, so was quite surprised when we arrived to see that we had arrived at a different place. After the initial surprise, I was quickly reassured of the excellence of the new Le Meridien resort.
The staff were friendly and flexible and always ready to assist with queries.

New ZealandThis is a wonderful resort, however it is very very isolated. If it wouldn’t have been for the purpose of the wedding, with our friends and other guests, I think we would get bored quickly due to the lack of activity in the surroundings.
Great resort. Needs some revamping at places. Staff are awesome and make great cocktails. Friendly and very helpful. The wedding we attended was an unforgettable memory and was very well organised. Thank you!

IndiaIts too big a property
My wife and I recently traveled to Phuket after many years and chose Le Meridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa, hoping to celebrate our wedding anniversary in style. The experience was fantastic! The staff provided excellent service, and the management, including the General Manager, went out of their way to make us feel special, even surprising us with some thoughtful goodies. We stayed in a pool access room, which turned out to be a perfect choice. The room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, with an extensive selection of Western, Asian, and Indian dishes, all delicious and served with great attention. Additionally, there are plenty of local restaurants and massage parlors just outside the hotel. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and we’ll definitely be back!

AustraliaWell maintained resort, right on the beach. Pools were fabulous with lush, well maintained gardens. Large, well appointed rooms. Breakfast was great and provided many options. Staff were amongst the most personable we have encountered and there was a "couldn't do enough" approach across the board. Resort restaurants were well priced, as were the happy hour drinks (8 hours). Alternative restaurants available within 50 meters. All inclusive package was unnecessary.

United StatesLike many other hotels in the area management needs to fix the problem with birds stealing food from guests tables at breakfast. Some guests even think it's cute to feed the birds which makes it worse- birds poop all over the tables and chairs. Trapping them with nets and relocating them requires effort but needs to be done for sanitary reasons.
August is low season in Thailand due to the rain. Many hotels shut down some of their services and offer reduced breakfast buffet but not Le Meridien. The breakfast buffet: egg station (omelettes, eggs benedict, etc), huge bread/waffle/donut section, 3 kinds of cheeses, # kinds of deli meats, sausage and bacon, yogurt station with multiple flavor choices & toppings, hot noodle soup, daily selections of South Asian food, daily selection of Thai specialty, sticky rice & bbq/fried meat, salad bar, fresh juices, multiple tea/coffee options, plus stuff like baked beans, baked tomatos, fried pumpkin, green Thai curry, etc. Gluten Free options available too! One of the best breakfast buffets we've seen in Thailand at this price point. All three pools were kept very clean. Once a week the staff turn on a bubble machine in the pool. Kind of like a giant bubble bath. Very fun for kids and adults alike. Fitness room is open 24/7 with four treadmills, ellipticals, weight equipment and free weights. Fitness room also has water cooler, fresh fruit in the mornings and scented cold towels. Bicycles are free to use for up to an hour. Bangsak beach is long- it least 5km to the south end from Le Meridien. Great to walk but not really suitable to run due to numerous streams running into ocean. Staff are amazing- from general manager down to the serving staff in the restaurant. Polite, helpful and fun. There are local restaurants, coin op laundry machines, convenience stores and bars all within easy walking distance. However location is far out of town. It's the kind of place you come for a quiet vacation, not to party or enjoy the night life. If you want that go to Phuket or downtown Khao Lak.
