There was a distinct lack of random cats that other resorts in Khao Lak usually have - possibly because the resort has such a focus on attracting bird life which is also great. We just missed making friends with the random cats in the area :)

The resort is amazingly beautiful. Great pools, great food, the beach is beautiful and clean- what more could you want! We also really enjoyed the pool bar. The two bartenders Nanny and Wan went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly and make a great Cuba Libre. We will be back! PS the all inclusive option is well worth the small amount extra - so many choices!

Just found it odd that there was no concierge at the main entrance for greeting. The main entrance walkway till the reception had a weird stink of sewage or some drainage at all times till we walked to the elevator.

There were too many children running wild, dangerous where hot food and crockery are concerned.

I missed the typical native cooked dishes. A separate menu for the tasty, spicy and special Thai dishes would be nice. But all in all, the offered food in the Restaurants is absolutely delicious.

Everything is extremely expensive in terms of food and beverage. So if you don't have an all-inclusive package, you will have to spend a lot on those things. Plus, the hotel is not so close to other places where you can easily have those things.

The property is great! It is a nice environment overall. There are lots of space for adults and children. The design is beautiful. Very well thought!

They didn’t have pool services or beach service for food and drinks. We have to the restaurant or bar to order food or drinks.

The staff has limited English so communication can be challenging some times, but you can manage. Not worse than any other hotel in Thailand

Location is a bit remote but that didn't matter to us.

We were a family of 10 with grandparents, teens and kids. There was something for everybody. Activities were plenty and no one ever bored. We loved the breakfast buffet, and spent loads of time at the various happy hours. Great time had by all!

If I had to pick on something, then it is the beach; The beach is nice but full of dead coral so walking on them was a bit uncomfortable. The designated smoking spaces are not ideal.

There are many pools, bars and restaurants and activities to do around the resort. The food was good and the room was very big. We enjoyed swimming and having a drink at the pool bar. They have free water activities and we recommend paddle board at the sunset.

Nothing I did not like. The only thing was that it is a bit out of the way of town for those who would like to go party. However there are a few bars on the beach.

The hotel was great in general, great pools, great beach access, great staff, breakfast was very good and was until 11am. There was good entertainment, lots of activities. the pool access rooms are great.

No decafe tea or coffee at self service but the kind staff will bring it to you so not a problem.

The breakfast at the Meridian is absolutely fabulous<there are various stations where you can choose form traditional to Full English etc ,Eggs are cooked to your own preference,Fresh fruit,authentic thai food there is always a great choice.

Layout to walk around the property somewhat annoying due to paths around pools.. Orginally booked all- inclusive package knowing drink options were limited. However, upon arriving, we found food options were limited also. Very different than past all-inclusives I have stayed. Property let us change our booking though to not have the "all-inclusive" option.

Beach was least favourable. Was full of broken coral sharp objects and the water wasn't clean. Just use the pool.
