We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs above
Hotel was excellently located right on the beach and a short stroll from the main centre of Phi Phi however the hotel needs some TLC. Breakfast was ok but area was tatty. Our room wasn't cleaned for two days so had to go to reception to sort and get it cleaned with fresh towels. Shower and bathroom very poor but bedroom ok and bed was comfortable.

CanadaThe property is mediocre in all ways but two: the location was good in that it was far enough away from the main Center but still walkable; and the views from the rooms were outstanding. Everything else was acceptable but mediocre. The rooms are tired and run down. Showers work but are not what you’d expect for the price. The pool is clean but the atmosphere is barren and unattended. The pool bar doesn’t look like it’s been operating for years. There are small beaches below the grounds.

United KingdomThe toilets are problematic - after flushing once, which required holding down the button for about 30 seconds, mine would no longer flush at all. I mentioned this at reception and it did get fixed, but then started to fail again shortly after. That said, this is a general problem wherever you go on Koh Phi Phi. Rooms could do with a couple more pillows. You get two pillows and two bayview branded cushions, which are no good for sleeping. Four actual pillows really should be the standard for a hotel. Drinking water in the room is from a large water cooler bottle with an electronic pump in it. It would be nicer to have bottled water so that it can be put in the fridge to keep cold - or glass bottles to decant water into to keep it eco-friendly. The bar at the beach (actually just a fridge in reception you can buy bottles from) was seemingly never open - it was locked at about 7pm when trying to get a beer, and also at about 8:30am when trying to buy water for our boat trip, despite reception being staffed both times; both times we asked and they just said it was closed - but there are a few convenience stores along the seafront within 5 minutes walk, or for sunset drinks you can head towards town with plenty of beachside bars on the way.
Firstly a lot of reviews here mention the pool being closed, this no longer seems to be a problem. Although we didn't get a chance to use it, the pool was open during our stay. This place did somewhat exceed my expectations, given the relatively low Booking rating. I thought it was fine for the price compared to alternatives on Phi Phi, which were all more expensive for an actual bungalow. Stayed in a Grand Deluxe Villa with sea view, and the view was excellent, across the bay to Koh Phi Phi Leh, while friends stayed in the Deluxe Villa, one of which had a decent view of the sea. The rooms are a bit dated and basic, particularly the bathroom, but it was comfortable enough, the wifi was good, and for a two night stay it was fine. Location was great, close enough to the main town to be an easy 10-15 minute walk - paved almost the whole way, with a couple of hundred metres of sandy beach to walk across at the end to reach the resort - but far enough away from the noise of the late night bars. The terrain of the property itself is very hilly and quite steep in places, and a lot of the paths are uneven with tree roots and not always well lit. This wasn't an issue for us, but be prepared. Staff carried our bags up to the rooms after check-in. The beach has beautiful views of the bay, especially at sunset, and has a roped off swimming area, plenty of loungers and beanbags to chill on, and beach towels freely available from reception. Boat transfer from the pier was quick and easy both there and back (maybe we got lucky on timing but it was less than a 5-minute wait both times), staff offered welcome drinks on arrival, check-in was straightforward. Also booked a private longtail boat tour at the kiosk in the hotel, which picked us up from the hotel beach.

United KingdomThe rooms we had abutted others and the sound performance was poor between them. You can ask for standalone ones but we didn’t realise this. The rooms are up a steep hill so be prepared for that. The staff do help you with your main luggage though to be fair.

SlovakiaI didn’t like the confusion while check-in (our room was occupied and we were forced to go for one night to the different hotel, for free, of course). So, always check your stay before arrival. Room for improvement is the hygiene and cleanliness of the rooms - for EU standards is so-so 3* hotel.
The location of resort is perfect, it’s near the beach. Breakfast was very tasty.

Lovely stay on the beach front which isn’t too busy. Not in the centre of everything so nice and quiet but not far from everything as-well. You need to be happy to walk 10 minutes. Staff really helpful - they have staff take your luggage from the ferry pier to the hotel as you have to walk there at certain times of the day.

EstoniaHave to go through the beach to get there. Its true you need to be fit to get to your room as the stairs are very long way to go. The pool is somewhere hidden. No signs to guide you. Also the pool is very lonely, noone there, and very old chairs, prefered to stay in the beach but the beach was only knee high. When we arrived to our room we didnt have any towels, 2 days we waited for them.
Breakfast was very luxurious, many things to choose from, although i would recomment them to put up more signs to show people where you get eggs for example.
