Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Extremely friendly staff who were super passionate about their small family run hostel! Extremely clean with the room and bathroom re cleaned throughout the day. Amazing location just a small walk from the pier and really central. Basic but has everything we needed :)

No issues at all!
Comfy and clean hostel run by a very helpful staff! Leo was very accommodating and gave us great deals on tours and travel. Very close to the main pier and a short walk to all the main bars, but in a quiet area so you don’t get disturbed at night. Free coffee, tea, water and bananas were a great bonus.

Great little hostel. One mixed dorm with very large beds for a hostel: double bed size? Each equipped with individual lights, power point and curtain. Shampoo and shower gel provided in showers and liquid soap in sinks. Free filtered water 24/7 and hot water for drinks during the day. Great location and surprisingly quiet at night. Very helpful crew to boot. Really good place to stay.

A little bit stuffy in the evenings but no complaints as such as left my curtain open and got the ac coming through
Nice little hostel, very clean and tidy, staff were amazing and so helpful with anything you need, especially with my swollen foot! Really enjoyed my stay here, met some great people there as well. would deffo stay here again!

Could do with a sink in the second upstage bathroom, but not a big deal.
BY FAR THE BEST HOSTEL I’VE STAYED IN! This hostel only has 10 beds in the one dorm, but still lots of space. Two bathrooms in the dorm upstairs as well as one downstairs. Areas are always spotless as they clean every 2 hours. They also have a travel desk downstairs, book everything through them for a good deal. Thank you Miss sunshine, Leo and the rest of the staff there. Amazing work, keep it up!!

The location of the room is quiet in the bustling area, and you can't hear the sound of the bar at all. It is only a 2-minute walk from the pier, which is very convenient. You need to use a wristband to enter and exit after 10 pm, which is very safe. The bed is big and it is cleaned several times a day.

This property is in a superb central location close to the pier, market, both beaches and restaurants. The staff are exceptionally cheerful and helpful. The property even has it’s own travel desk.

The only reason why I don’t give a 10 is because of the need that was a bit non comfortable .
The hostel was extremely clean and the hosts are super friendly and keen to helping you in any way. The offer you free coffee bananas and water.

This the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was in its place and personnel take care of checking everything is correct. They are very welcoming, friendly and sweet. I was sick the first day and they showed care and were pending if I needed anything, this is really appreciated when traveling solo. 🫶🏼

Everything was excellent!
Amazing hostel! Nicest hosts you will ever meet, the hostel is clean, quiet, good beds, good showers, free water bottles, close to the pier and to the beach where all the good parties are. We booked a snorkeling trip through them and they gave us a discount. They did my laundry in less than 12 hours. Highly recommended!!
