I needed to check out at 8 am to catch a 9 am ferry, but there was no staff! No one was working at 8 am. And I needed to get my deposit back. I am lucky my friends stayed later, so they claimed my deposit and returned my room key, but if not this could have been a big problem.

Bodega was fine - the private washroom was nice to have. The location is a bit out of the way which was nice since it was away from all the noise.

So many people including myself had problems with bookings and the staff don't speak English to be able to resolve it. I managed to resolve my problem only thanks to Google translate - have it ready.

Quiet, and reasonable for price. Short walk to centre. Helpful with offering day tours. Fresh towels on request. Good A/C Not a party hostel which was good for us

Bathroom

All good except the bathroom in our room, shower was working but the toilet was blocked and out of service so we had go outside to use common bathroom. Also the smell of mould it our bathroom was bizarre, it was hard to breathe. Except that all good would recommended.

-Not social at all! -There was a water refill behind the bar but the staff would not refill our bottles for us, we had to buy their bottled water instead. Stopped buying beers after this as thought it was a joke… refused to spend any more money here when they couldn’t even refill a small bottle. -Room not cleaned during our 3 night stay. A loo roll would be dropped off and that’s about it. Our full bin was not emptied unless left outside front door. Previous guests towel left in room. Sandy showers. Hair everywhere. Had to request a clean bath mat as it was filthy and old. -The bar drinks are expensive compared to everywhere else in town. -Had to pay for our stay in cash despite them telling us over message on here that we could pay card. -A 500 Bhat deposit is also required. -Our lock/key was changed during our stay and our room was just left unlocked, we didn’t realise until a member of staff gave us a new key. The least you’d expect when staying somewhere is security. -WiFi didn’t work for our whole stay!!! -A noise outside our room at night, sounded like a donkey! We thought maybe it was the air-con but it only made the sound at night. -The beds are unbelievably uncomfortable, noisy and squeaky.

-Loved that this was not at all a party hostel. We stayed as saw previous reviews saying this. -Quiet as barely any other guests and no loud party. -Location, about a 10 min walk from main centre which is nice as it’s peaceful and quiet all day/night.

It is not a party hostel as they claim. Beds were squeaky and did not have curtains for privacy. The room was not cleaned once in the 4 days we stayed, I had to ask twice to get at least toilet paper because there was none in the 3 bathrooms. Not even the bin was taken out even after I asked the cleaning ladies to do it.. disgusting after 3 nights.

The girls and guy on the reception were nice. Location is good because you have quiet night and can easily reach the center within 5 minutes. Only 4 beds in the dorm and private bathroom for each dorm.

Beds are really REALLY uncomfortable. Stayed in the top bunk and felt like the whole thing was gonna fall apart. Had to insist on getting moved to a bottom bunk bed as there was two free ones but it took a bit of convincing. Even then, the bed was so hard and uncomfortable I kept waking up because of the back and neck pain

Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Location wasn’t super central so didn’t hear all the noise from the clubs but was still only a short walk from everyone

The room was infested with, I mean infested , with flying ants when we got home one night, which we can only assume was from the celling, all over our stuff. We eventually , by 1 in the morning moved rooms
