Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location! Close to Khao San Road and the River. The rooftop pool was a refuge each day for a cool down before evening activities.

Casa Vimaya was a very pleasant surprise, a beautiful little boutique Hotel 5 minutes walk to Khao San road and 15min walk to hop on hop off boat. The staff were lovely, very helpful always smiling to greet us. The roof top pool was a great relief from the heat, sunbeds getting afternoon shade. It was immaculately clean. We didn't have the breakfast option in our booking but the little restaurant on the river front looked beautiful. Definitely consider your stay here you won't be disappointed. .

The air conditioning was noisy. It sounded like a washing machine running all night. The rooftop pool would have been lovely, great views over the city. However, being quite a small area it was ruined for us by the hotel allowing other guests to use it as a smoking zone. You couldn’t get away from the smell and smoke so we didn’t use it. Which was disappointing. A little bit expensive.
Comfortable room and beds. Quiet location as long as you have a room overlooking the canal. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was pretty good…the usual hotel buffet. But with decent coffee which was nice. We were able to access our room very early in the morning which was great as we’d just got off the night train and were exhausted. Good location for the Khao San area and the palace and Wats. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars.

Pool tiles very slippery so had to be careful

Hotel was great, but not sure we would choose to stay in this area of Bangkok again. Walking distance to river ferry pier, but boats didn't seem very frequent. We got around mainly by Grab taxi (very cheap compared to UK taxis!)
Room very comfortable and clean. Staff all very polite, helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. Good coffee! Lovely to sit by the canal for breakfast.

The street side rooms are very noisy and do not seem to have a lot of sound proofing. Bring ear plugs.
The hotel is in a great location. Staff are very helpful. My room was not that big, but certainly met my needs for the night. The rooftop pool was lovely! It made all the difference as the temperature climbed.

Our bedroom view - I wish I knew that it was right in front of another building.
Roof top pool is very nice, the staff was great and helpful. The room was of good size.

Balcony was very small without any chair or table.

Location - close to hop on / off water taxi. Staff - always a smile. Helpful - needed to buy a phone charger, lent one to me plus guided to where I could buy. Breakfast - quality and variety

Fantastic location, within walking distance of everything we wanted to visit. Room was clean and functional. Although balcony was tiny and only suitable for one person to stand out at a time. No way could you fit a chair out there. Breakfast was a nice addition so we ate before setting out for the day, plenty of choice and a nice setting.
