I loved my stay here. Closca Hostel is run by a lovely couple and is located in the local village, about 15 mins walk from the pier and the southern beach. It's quiet, super chilled and very clean. Everyone staying was lovely (age range was mid 20s to mid 30s, no drunken or disrespectful shenanigans thankfully), and I made really good friends. I'd love to come back.

I was only here for one night, but I really enjoyed it. It’s super clean, the staff was really friendly, and the location is perfect to access the whole island. The staff and the other travelers staying there made a really nice atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Koh Tao.

I spent ten days in Closca Hostel. It was amazing! Everything clean und the included breakfast is a good place to get in touch with other travelers. The owners are really warm hearted and helpful in every situation.

The hostel is perfect for someone who does not drive a scooter and does not have an issue with walking to see the beaches around. I love that there ar eonly 4 curtained beds in the room and the place smells ok and clean. Plus a breakfast! Staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve tried the other popular hostel close to it it but I prefer this place as a middle-aged woman and I do not really need a pool.

-our room was bit noisy during night (maybe windows etc can be improved to cancel the noise) -no protien in breakfast (boiled eggs or at least yoghurt can make it best)

This was a really excellent private room for a solo stay. The hotel is a short distance from Chalok Baan beach and a lot of dive schools. About a 10 minute walk from the beach, shorter by scooter. Like most hotels on Koh Tao, you’ll want to get a scooter. The owners of the hostel are super friendly and helpful; all of the staff was great and the room was clean and well taken care of. Laundry services, and free breakfast too. Wasn’t a super social hostel but I also wasn’t looking for that.

The air conditioning was off from 11am to 6pm, so it was impossible to stay in the room to rest

Best place to stay in Koh Tao. This hostel is the perfect combination of social but quiet place. People is nice, simple breakfast but enough. Dorms are nice, with curtains for privacy. Also I liked the location, close to everything but enough distance from the party to sleep well. They help you also with tours and laundry. Definitely I will come back!

Everything was great

Very clean hostel with super friendly and helpful staff! Lots of bathrooms also outside of your room, comfy big beds, space to store your bagpack and keep your things, good breakfast included (fruits, toasts, coffee/tea etc). Cool comfortable and spacious common area to chill even during rain. 20min to the pier, many great restaurants nearby, outside of the crowded centre. They have snorkeling rental, ferry tickets and other.

The vibe was not super social whilst I was there, but appreciate that’s luck of the draw. Seating in social area downstairs could be more comfortable to that end.

Has everything you need, and great location near to my favourite part of Koh Tao - Chalok. WiFi is excellent. You’d struggle to find much better value on Koh Tao in high season, I’d definitely go back.

What I liked the least was the location, but if you can drive a bike that won't be a problem for you.

New hostel in Koh Tao, rooms are very nice and clean. Bathrooms are outside the room which is good if you have an early dive so you don't wake anyone up. The atmosphere was very nice and the common areas were really chill.
