Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaThe outdoor bath took too long to fill so we gave up, and the hot water doesn't get that hot. Fine for the shower but will make for a cold bath by the time it fills. The breakfast pastries are a little stale but there's such great other choices so no big deal for me. Why go to Thailand to eat croissants!
This resort was paradise! We stayed in a villa facing the beach with a private pool, it was so beautiful. Very quiet, great for a relaxing holiday. The room was lovely, really enjoyed the outdoor shower. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed great food, and a massage. The NYE event the resort held was so fun, lovely to see how involved the resort is with the broader community on the island.

NetherlandsNothing to note :)
Everything was amazing. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, the pool villas are amazing with beautiful views over the sea. It felt like a little paradise on earth. The location is very nice, remote, quiet, yet not too far from a little village with everything you’d need. Breakfast, the restaurant and the beach bar were very good! Sunset at the beach bar is a must. Massages were also very good! What made this hotel so special was the staff. They pay great attention to details from arrival to check out and are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange transfers from and to the pier, rent scooters for the day (brought directly to the hotel), organise a private day trip and more. When we had a little incident during our day trip, they were extremely responsive and helped us find solutions. Special mention to Sui and Nui who were absolutely lovely and of great help. This was our favorite stay of our honeymoon so far and we’d definitely recommend staying there!

SwedenWe visited Elixir with our 11 months old daughter. Elixir is a great and calm hotel with individual villas. The location of the hotel is extraordinary with a magnificent view and beach. The staff was always very helpful and kind. The breakfast was splendid. Good variety of different foods, fresh/custom maid omelette etc. The restaurant and beach bar also offered high quality foods and drinks. We had a fantastic stay and we would love to come back again :-)

GermanyCoral reef is rather dead near the beach, so not ideal for snorkeling.
Perfect for relaxing close to nature without the tourist masses. We just loved it!! We did a mangrove kayaking tour and booked a massage, both were great experiences. Other than that there is not much more to do except to enjoy the private beach. Food was good as well. Would recommend to stay 3 nights (we did 2 on our way from Phuket to Krabi). Make sure to check the speedboat schedule with the hotel upfront, otherwise it can get difficult to get there.

KuwaitIt can get boring and there’s no alcohol in shops on the island as it’s a Muslim island. However, you can purchase it in the restaurant in the hotel.
The place is just amazing. While there were huge waves in Phuket, the sea was calm there. Pictures don’t show the reality - it’s much better and more beautiful there.

MalaysiaThe transfer from the airport to the hotel takes a total of about 2 hours (taxi to boat to taxi). Another point for those who are less agile the beds in the superior villas are on a platform with a large step up and down.
The resort is in a brilliant location with its own wide sandy beach. The villas are comfortable and private. The food at the onsite restaurant was excellent with a good range of Thai and international dishes to suit most tastes and they were happy to leave off sauces for my fussy daughter.

AustraliaMain swimming pool needs a little bit of renovation to fix the loose tiles. It is a positive that they are updating the rooms one by one.
Beautiful location away from the crowds. The perfect place to relax. While there is only the one restaurant in this delightful resort, the food was so delicious that we never felt like leaving the resort. Massages were great and good value.

RussiaIt should be pointed out that the villas are located in quite a remote place (the nearest 7/11 shop is somewhere about 7-8 minutes by scooter 🛵), but there are some nice restaurants just round the corner. So, if you want to move freely around the island and be free to go to any restaurant or shop, it's highly recommend to rent a scooter, cause without it the stay might seem too restricted and boring).
Liked the location and the scenery. The fact that we stayed at Ko Yao Yai in "low" monsoon season in August gave both benefits and disadvantages. The key benefit was very few people around us during all the stay. Most of the villas were free, so we got a great discount at Booking. The disadvantage was the huge tides twice a day that brought quite a lot of plastic rubbish. But the territory of the hotel is so huge that you can find a place to swim in the blue sea without rubbish (take the seaside location on the right to the reception, there is a magnificent lagoon separated from the main beach with high impressive rocks, and it's so cool to swim there, almost without any intervention from the people around). Our villa was quite big, with an "open roof" huge shower. A magnificent view to look at (skies , flying bats, singing night creatures 😁) when you take a warm shower at night! Really enjoyed it. Cleaning was regular and profound, the cleaning stuff and the girls at the reception desk were all so kind, smiling and helpful ☺️ The fact that they charged us for the room at the check-out, not at the check-in, without checking if we have spoiled any equipment, speaks for itself. Amazing people and stunning location! I especially liked the breakfasts: they were varied, with fresh fruit of different kinds and a variety of fresh greenery and veggies. All the breakfasts that we had were really tasty and enjoyable. One more "must see and experience" thing is a dinner at the Romantic Deck on the beach. It's really worth it! The view of the starry skies and singing night creatures are gorgeous and authentic. Don't forget to bring you favourite music, a bottle of wine or cocktails, and some snacks to enjoy the great night in the jungle.

Spent nine nights here on honeymoon. Asked for sea view and got that. All the rooms are mini villas. Very clean and comfortable - lovely decor. Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Well run operation. Room cleaned immaculately every day. Breakfasts were superb - could have more or less anything you want bar pork products. But food was tasty and original. Pool lovely. Sea warm and beautiful at high tide - low tide revealing muddy / Shelly substrate but alive with thousands of crabs. What sets this place aside from the other (including five star) hotels is the garden. Stunning and makes for superb photo back drop. 11/10 for the gardeners - they make this location truly idyllic Be aware that the whole island has a marine plastics issue.
