Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe dorms were very nice: clean, good aircon, plenty of space to put your stuff, small windows (not always present in hostels). The common area is very chill with hammocks, games, a guitar, a ping pong table and a view of the garden which has a very charming jungly vibe to it. There is a very basic free breakfast consisting of toast, butter, and jam which is also nice, also drinking water to refill bottles. There is a kitchen available to prepare your own meals which we used to upgrade the free breakfast with some eggs & bacon :) it is also possible to wash & dry laundry yourself. The location is good, it's away from all the noise of the centre (except the mosque) but still walking distance to the beach. Improvement points are that the place is a but run down, but fortunately not in a cumbersome way. The showers were not very clean though, with big clumps of hair in 3 of them, and no place to put your stuff or to hang your towel. It would also be fun if there were activities organized to connect with other backpackers, like drinks or games night or something, like many other hostels do. But all in all I don't regret staying here and it was definitely good value for money!

Netherlands- Wifi in the room wasn’t great (basically non existent). In the common area it was absolutely fine though.
- The beds were super spacious with basically your own closet and an almost full size mirror. - Enough showers and toilets that felt clean (showers could use some more hooks). - Common area was nice with a lot of space to sit and work and it had a pool. - Towel was included. - Bread with jam and butter, drinking water and tea/coffee was available all day.

CanadaAmazing staff. My only complaints are that my balcony door had space underneath the floor, and the whole stay leaves, flowers, and ants could get into the room easily. Also the neighbouring balcony had people smoking and it was wafting in. Thankfully, I had a spare towel and shoved it in the cracks, and that helped. My only other problem was that there was no safety lock on the door. The door lock was just a key. So I ended up putting the bedside table against the door at night to feel more comfortable as a solo female.

United KingdomThe private rooms are a little open to the outside with gaps in the doors. This meant there were more mosquitos in the room than we had had in other places. We stayed here a second time though so it clearly didn't put us off.
Fantastic location if you want to be away from the house and chaos, easy walking distance to the beach and lots of nice restaurants very near. Including Glurs own pizza place which was the best pizza we had in Thailand. The private rooms each have a hammock which is a lovely way to relax and the pool is very nice.

SloveniaA hostel that has incredibly great potential to be a wonderful hostel, or probably used to be, but unfortunately they don't invest enough time in the surroundings and space. It's a shame, otherwise a pleasant atmosphere. Unpleasant smell.

SwitzerlandBig toilet and shower area. Not that clean and hardly any hooks. The staff was not that friendly.
The design of the bed space in the dorms are great. Like a little room with wardrobe and mirror. Very cool. The pool is nice, could do with a few more comfy chairs. Loved the palm trees and hammocks.

United StatesRooms were a bit ‘tired’. Pool didn’t seem to have the right balance of chemicals (there was a sheet film on top). Bed was hard, the springs uncomfortable.
Quiet property. Lots of beautiful plants. Feels private and chill.

NetherlandsThe bathrooms could have been cleaned a bit more often and it would have been nice if there were more stretchers /comfy seats with pillows by the pool.
I loved the big garden and Chill out /workspace , away from all the tourist craziness of Ao Nang, but close enough to walk to. The bed space was huge, I’ve never seen anything like this! You had your own private space for your bags, a huge locker , bedlight and mirror, super luxurious feel. Staff is really friendly (I asked for a new blanket twice and got it) and there is a lovely very tasty pizza place attached to the hostel (try the focaccia with burrata!).

NetherlandsIt lacks some care. There are bloodstains on the ceiling and walls. And they could clean the common area's like the bathrooms and toilets beter. Also not the most friendly people working here. Needs some more love and it could be lovely.
It's a green oase with a nice pool. It's close to restaurants and places to have coffee. It's about 20 minutes walk to the beach.

United KingdomHowever, it feels like the place has become quite run down in the last few years, our mattress was so dipped and uneven it was impossible to get a good night sleep. The aircon was also pointing directly at us and there was no way of changing it, the bathroom shower was so full of limescale it was shooting all over the place. The whole place feels a bit overgrown and dirty if I’m being honest. It’s still great value for dorm rooms, the communal area is lovely and pool great addition but the private room didn’t feel like good value when for literally £4 more we could have stayed at the 4* resort next door (we did end up leaving glur and checking in next door). They’ve obviously invested a lot of money into opening up the coffee shop and pizza place but some money needs to go towards refreshing the rooms in my opinion.
I stayed in this hostel in one of the dorm rooms five years ago and LOVED it. So I decided to come back this time bringing my partner and staying in a private room. The room was clean, had everything you need as well as a fridge/kettle which was unexpected. The pool is nice, great cheap washing facilities. Lovely big communal area is still almost as nice as I remember it.

GermanyBreakfast is all day. But only toast butter and jam. Common Fridge is packed and smells weird. Also iced. Could need a deep clean. You need at least 30min to walk to the beach. No much shadow over day while walking.
Never had so much private space in a dorm. Pool and common area is nice. Lived the hammocks. Very specious area. The coffee shop and pizza place of glue are great. But pizza is very expensive. But best I had in SEA.

BelgiumLocation is a bit further from the centre, not too far but as a girl alone, I didn’t like going out at night, luckily there were some eatong facilities nearby! It’s not the most sociable hostel, didn’t bother me as I was looking for a nice quiet stay, but if you wanna meer loads of people, this might not be the place.
It’s a little green paradise, loved the pool, the common area, the garden in general. The barhroom was very clean & so practical, by far the best shower I’ve had so far! Amazing how much space you had near you bed, full-size mirror as well & a very spacious locker. Had a great quiet stay, I enjoyed the rest!!
