Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing, there was no problems, its basic but clean and sufficient.
It does what it says on the tin, it was cheap clean and affordable, it was also pretty quiet, the hotel is a self check in system so there is no staff on hand but its very easy, located a few mins walk from the ain chinatown Yarowat Road, and the train station a few mins in the opposite direction. No complaints from me.

South Korea1. The taxi driver couldn’t locate the address of the hotel on GPS, the location marker is missing (delay to arrival: 1 hour) 2. There is no front desk or any attendant to check you in, you have to use a locker that dispenses a card key 3. Since there's no attendant, the property sends an email asking you for a photo of your passport. This makes the customer vulnerable to identity theft. 4. Instructions are complicated on the Card Key Locker machine. The most confusing? It asks for 6 digits of the reservation number, but may not be the same as the confirmation number. 5. The machine that dispenses key cards malfunctioned 6. The phone numbers to call the hotel management are out of service 7. The only way to reach any staff is by downloading the 'Line' messaging app and getting the hotel owner's ID. But this is useless if you don't have mobile internet 8. You can hear people on the street at night even with the windows closed, especially if they’re bantering in front of the 7-11 across the street. The neighborhood also gets inundated with car traffic during rush hour 9. No mirror in the bathroom. Shaving became very challenging. 10. No safe to guard valuables 11. No hot water in the sink (but just for the shower)
The air conditioning works and the bed was comfortable, wifi works well. There is also a mini fridge and hot water kettle provided.

EstoniaIt was awfully dirty. Bedsheets and towels had stains on them and furniture and walls were also dirty looking. But what dissapointed me most was the bathroom - there was no way to use shower without creating a pool infront of the door and toilet because the water went the opposite direction from drain. Also there were no tools to help and collect the water from floor. No rubish bin at toilet but it noted that no tissue was to be drooped in toilet - where then i wonder? Also some small ants were present at the check-in. Nice! Small fridge was just like something out of Tim Burton movie and could scare any food that you might want to consider puttin in it. Too bad but I just couldnt stay one night there. No refunds for any nights were made but the only comforting thing was that it was not all that pricy. I'll live.
Well. There was a bed. There was the location. And perhaps some art on the walls. So 3 points out of 10.

AustraliaOn walking in, the building was filthy, usually a good indication of what your room is going to be like. The room was dirty, towels and sheets didn’t look clean, I could see through the gap between ours and the neighbouring shower, windows didn’t close (mosquitoes), the power kept shorting out, especially when someone was in the shower leaving the water cold and the person in the shower in the dark, we had to leave the room and flick the switch on the circuit board in the hall way, happened at least 10 times. Windows had black grime on them. Overpriced and disgusting. Spend your money elsewhere.

PortugalThe window at the shower room is broken, can't be locked, and feels really unsafe to stay there, especially because it is first floor. The bed itself makes horable sounds that made me take the mattress down and sleep on the floor. The room atmosphere is unpleasant, too white. The street is very noisy, better windows will do a great good over there.
The location, mattress, pillow and the water volume at the shower were the only good things that I can say.
