Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesPlease be aware that this is one of those places where, if the owner is out and no one else is available to tend the storefront, she may padlock the door with you locked inside until she returns.
This is an inexpensive and still perfectly decent place to stay. The hostel is easy to find as it's right on a major street and there's an English sign that's visible from both directions, north or south. It's a short walk from the train station. Although the woman who runs the place speaks minimal English, she still manages to come off as being genuinely concerned about the welfare of her guests.

United StatesThe one bad thing I will say about this property is the lack of cleanliness in the bathrooms. They’re not horrible, but it did stand out to me as a negative aspect of my stay. Part of this is the other guests, but I don’t think the bathrooms are maintained very well, which is unfortunate.
Owner was very kind and accommodating, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, fans and/or AC available.

FranceThe mattresses have a plastic layer around them. Bit weird on the beginning. But I finally got used to it pretty quickly.
I booked one night on Booking but extended day by day up to another 6 days directly at the hostel. The manager is an around 65 year old very cheerful woman. She only speaks Thai but does her best to help you and make you feel at ease. I suggest you install Google Translate app on your phone and then use the translation function by voice. She even understands when to speak in front of your phone when you ask her to. This way, it's possible to communicate. The bus station is 6 km south west from the hostel but with Grab app it costs you around 56 bath to go there by motorbike and 81 by car. The hostel is just next to the lake which is the main attraction of the city to my mind. Nice for a morning walk before 10.30 am, nice also in the late afternoon from 5pm. Night market with some food stalls from 5.30pm to 8pm approx. On foot, the main market of the city is around 15min far. Opened in the morning until 1pm. In the hostel, possible to order food to the old lady. And to dry your clothes on 3rd floor small terrace. There is a 7 eleven 200 meters to the south from the hostel, I got my habits getting iced Americano or Latte there. Just opposite the 7 eleven is a nice wooden made restaurant that serves food every morning until afternoon 3pm. You can get a plate of rice and cooked dishes for 45 baths.

ChinaI don’t think they changed the sheets or duvet covers; you can still smell the strong body odor left by the previous guest. The hygiene is poor.
One of the few hostel options in Khon Kaen, very cheap. It's close to the night market, just a 3-minute walk from 7-Eleven, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. The host is very nice.

GermanyThe owner was friendly but she doesn't understand English. Somehow the communication worked out tho. if you want she makes you breakfast for 20 Baht. The beds were really hard and thin mattresses but they had curtains and air conditioning in the room. The bathroom isn't really clean, but its okay. She provides soap and toilet paper.
