Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaI didnt mind it at all but flagging for other reading this review, the stairs - its high up so there are a lot of stairs to walk up. If you have any mobility or issues with fitness and movements then dont choose this resort. An update for the shower head and bathroom would be good but was fine to use.
The location was wonderful. The view from the accomodation and the grounds really was stunning. You were also 1 minute walk to Long beach but felt far away enough so you could enjoy the peace and quiet which is hard to find in Phi Phi. Long beach is a lovely beach too and the water so is a great location if you want to get away from it all. Felt some of the other acommodation along the beach was very poor and low quality but no-one knows about HIP so is a quieter option. Bungalow was good considering the budget price, comfy bed, lovely staff and good basic breakfast and coffee. Very well run and organised accommodation and the free transfer from Tonsai to and from the property is great to have.

United KingdomOverall, brilliant stay. Nice breakfast, friendly staff, very helpful. The cabin was large, air con perfect. Decor could be updated. Tidied every day with fresh towels. A bit of tlc needed. The stairs are tiring but you get a lovely sunset. Don’t stay here if you have any issues with mobility. Really enjoyed the island and had no issues with the hotel. Fire show from a nearby beach bar was the only noise you could hear and that ended around 9.30pm.

United KingdomBeing on a quieter part of the island meant that it's a very long and steep walk (about 110 metres uphill and the same downhill) to get into town, in hot weather. There are no taxis on the island but you may be able to get a longboat taxi into town (I don't know for sure, as we chose to walk and didn't find this out). Generally, staff were nice but they were unkind to the lovely, friendly stray cats that roam around the property and aggressively scared them off when the cats were not causing any trouble, nor were they begging for food or annoying guests.
Beautiful location and cabins. The view from our window was stunning. Very comfortable beds with good air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious and can buy drinks and snacks from front desk throughout the day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel offers complimentary longboat transfer from port to hotel and back

LithuaniaI would expect that rooms should be at higher level repaired and equipped having in mind the price. Then there is no one in reception after 22 pm, thus there is no way how to buy a beer or soda can. And connection with phi phi center in late hours is also quite limited. And there is no pool, thus you need to go all the way down to the beech, which is nice as all beaches here.
The location and the beautiful views from resort. Delicious food at hotel Restaurant.

United KingdomNot very convient if you’re wanting to go regularly into the centre of phi phi. Accessible via boat taxi (which was cheap) or a 45/50 min walk only. I think we didn’t consider just how far we were from the centre and how inaccessible it was for us. We had ants in our shower on check out day but the rooms are located in a wooded/jungle type area. There’s very small mini market on the nearest beach but apart from that, it was hard to get bits for our room and had to get this on the way back from the centre.
Views and the beach were amazing and if you’re looking to be away from the madness of the centre, this is perfect. We thought it was the best beach we visited personally. Breakfast was a little basic but nice and staff were brilliant. Room was good and had a stunning view. People mention the stairs a lot and they are tiring, but it’s only 5 mins and it really didn’t affect our holiday whatsoever.

United KingdomThere are so many steps up to this property. If you can handle a workout everytime you want to go back to your room then you are ok. We managed but it did kind of hinder things. I guess that is the price you pay for the unreal view at the top. Air con wasn’t great and with 29 degrees at night. We could have done with it really.
The views here speak for themselves. Unlike anywhere we have stayed before we were totally wowed by this place. y. The staff are super helpful and you get a boat shuttle included on check in and check out form the main pier in phi phi. Boat taxis to the main phi phi go from long beach all day and night until around 12am. You pay about 150 baht pp and it is super quick. I would really recommend staying here rather than main phi phi as it so easy to get there and much more beautiful in long beach

United Kingdomno issues with the property
the property located on a lovely beach which was about a 15 min boat taxi from the main island however you can also walk into the centre which has some beautiful scenery along the way. as mentioned in other comments you need to walk up a lot of steps to get to the top but the view makes it all worth it. The room we stayed in was pretty standard however it was perfect for what we needed. breakfast was also standard but good portions.

United KingdomWaiting for a transfer into hotel . We are waiting 45 min to get there from a pier ( but they said max waiting time gonna be 20 min ) . If you are tired get a taxi boat for a 100 thb . Also we made a deal from a taxi boat from a hotel other day with another couple to pick up us from a pier at 10 pm but he didn’t come . We just jump to an other taxi boat . Also breakfast was quite greasy special scrambled eggs and french toast .
Amazing views for a Maya Bay . Also great day trip into a Maya Bay from a hotel deal with a good price .

United KingdomThe air-conditioning was not very powerful, so the room was hot, which made it difficult to sleep. There's lots of steps up from the beach, so if you are not fit this is not the place for you.
Quiet location away from the centre. The beach near the hotel is good for snorkeling. Great views from the bar and restaurant.

RomaniaWe expected a boutique style resort, but we got more of a dorm-room vibe. The villa seemed renovated, but quite carelessly (towel rack was rusty, the shower cord was dangling with the plastic part exposed and separated from the metal). The staff could be more attentive to details. The towels could use renewing. There were fines posted everywhere - on the room key, fine for losing the key; near the toilet, fine for throwing paper in; on the wall at the entrance, fine for damaging each and every item in the room, including for blood stains on the sheets (?). All hotels have these provisions, but they are not posted on the walls. They are nicely put in a file with the house rules. The TV never worked and the front desk was not surprised when I told them, upon leaving. The AC was right above the bed, and it was difficult to adjust it so that it wouldn't blast on our heads, no matter on what temperature it was set.
The location was great, with a beautiful view towards the sea. It is a bit hard to access because of the stairs (careful not to forget something when going to the beach!), but climbing them two times a day was not a problem. Also, keep in mind that sometimes you don't board the boat from the pier, and you have to pass through some shallow water. Flip flops or water sandals are advisable instead of sneakers. The villas were clean, and we had no issues with insects or crawlers. Only mosquitoes, but we solved that with an electric liquid device. It was an ok-ish accommodation for Long Beach, although we were expecting more for its price. Breakfast was limited, we had to choose from 3 options from a list and we also got bread, butter, jam and fruit. Not that bad, but only for a few days, otherwise it gets repetitive.
