Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandConsidering the price, the bungalow we got wasn't great. A little open, so some insects can get in (there is however a mosquito net for the bed). If you want to avoid contact with nature, maybe not for you.
The staff was great! Very helpful and friendly. The location is absolutely fantastic. Gotta be a bit for for the stairs, but the view is breathtaking.

United KingdomI'll start with the view, which is breathtaking; we loved our breakfast and dinner on the terrace. I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't very fit or disabled because this little paradise is only accessible by stairs. There's a lift for luggage. It's located in Long Beach, a 10-15 min by boat from the pier, a beautiful and not very crowded beach, perfect for snorkeling; you can even swim to Shark Point. Transportation to the hotel and back to the pier is provided by the hotel only for arrival and departure. There are always boats available just outside the hotel for an additional cost to reach the pier. It's also possible to walk for 45-50 minutes, but we preferred the boat, especially since it was affordable and very hot. The beach is quite long and offers various options: mini supermarkets, restaurants, massages, paddle boarding, kayaking, and scuba diving so you don’t really need to go to the centre unless you want something specific. The rooms are spacious, with sublime sea views, and cleaned daily. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. To summarize, if you're looking for a relaxing place with a beautiful beach that's not too expensive, this is the perfect place. If you’re not ready for daily exercise and want to be close to the nightlife this may not be the place for you.

The location of the property is at a hill; however has access to the Long Beach at Phi phi island. The property is well suited for youngsters who are fit to climb 140+ stairs. The location is great and rooms are simple and value for money

United KingdomFirst room was sadly near another chalet under construction and overlooked by workmen. We were moved the next morning to a beautiful chalet( number 32) but be aware not all chalets are equal. Stairs and necessity of boat transfer should be factored in. We were expecting both and it didn’t bother us.
Stunning views but quiet and cooler in the hills. Not a lot going on and that suited us. Snorkelling was amazing and the other hotels along the beach provided good quality and value meals.

United KingdomMozzies. bring repellent.
Amazing. Yes, it's up a lot of stairs, but that didn't bother us. Fab rooms on stilts overlooking the bay. Stunning views. Large rooms. Good breakfast with the view you couldn't pay for. Just stunning. Bags are brought up for you on an electric trolley so no issue there. Friendly staff organised boat trip to 4 islands for us. Free transport to and from the ferry. Long tail boats available. Beach has several bars, restaurants and when the "tourists" leave in the late afternoon, they are all there for the people staying on Long beach. You can walk into the town via the coast, jungle and path about 45mins, but long tails boats are a better option. The town is very very busy but good for young adults. We stayed on the beach. Stunning views, get up early and you have the beach to yourself. Loved it.

Really nice, modern rooms with stunning views. Staff were wonderfully helpful and hospitality was second to none. Sewed our backpack up without hesitation and wouldn’t accept anything in return. Locations good as it’s far enough from the strip to not be disturbed by the noise but only a short ride on a longtail taxi boat.

IndiaIt isn´t that big of a deal, but the rooms feel kind of old and could use some maintenance and/or improvements. It might be hard to do so because of the pandemic, but I like to think that they will do something about it once they are back at their 100%!
The staff is beyond amazing. So friendly and kind, they always go the extra mile to make you feel like you are at home. By far the best part of our stay. The hotel is located at the opposite end of the island from the harbor, so it's really quiet with some impressive views at the sea. If you don´t mind climbing some stairs (145), it´s totally worth it. The rooms are cozy if somewhat small, but we didn´t mind.

United KingdomNothing wrong with our stay however we found it just quite pricey for what it was compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Not fault of the hotel but because you are the furthest away, the taxi boats can be tricky at dropping you off particularly at night time which meant a 20 minute walk. Many steps but again we knew about that but worth the view
Very quiet location with great view for breakfast. Room was spacious
