Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I arrived with a bad cold and not feeling great, but I got even more sick (pneumonia) during my stay. I had a fever, was coughing my lungs out, and had a very bad cold. I booked a private room somewhere else because of that, but I wasn't allowed to stay one more hour in my dorm until I was picked up by the taxi. I understand that my bed needs to be cleaned, but I was obviously doing very bad, and she didn't really seem to care
It's super easy to meet a lot of people here! The breakfast is great, and they have good dinner options as well! The dorms are clean, the beds have curtains, and you can rent a motorbike here.

Great staff and friendly atmosphere, we visited over Christmas, and the hostel put on a great meal with drinks included. It felt like a family

Not much space in the room, beds were extremely hard so not very comfortable. Our Aircon wasn't working one night and the room was extremely uncomfortably hot, luckily this was fixed the following day. Bit dated.
Friendly staff, good value, big shelf by each bed and privacy curtains, good location. Good breakfast and cheap food available

The check in process was very long due to there only being one member of staff dealing with everything (she was doing an amazing job)!
The free breakfast was amazing and the curtain around the bed made it feel very private. The location was good and it was cheap to rent a scooter from the hostel too!

Not many toilets/showers but when you have all the time in the world it’s not the biggest problem to have.
Really social, employees made it feel homely, just cool place.

There are 2 buildings, the main and side one. I stayed in the side building but it looked very unfinished. Paint everywhere, no floor etc.
Close to the beach, free water refill, very good breakfast for the price you pay

There are a lot of people and it’s split into two buildings, so you might have to walk to reception/water/breakfast. Towels had a weird feel to them (maybe fabric softener?) , but they provide clean towels which is a plus. No lockers for your stuff.
Staff was very friendly, helpful, and competent. You are welcomed with a drink and snacks which was a warm touch. Free popcorn and water all day! Great breakfast of fruit, assorted pastries, eggs, toast, coffee, and juice. Close to the beach, restaurants, and easily accessible on the main road (but not loud).

The floor I stayed on had only one shower for 12 people, making it a bit challenging to shower at times. Additionally, one of the sinks didn't work, making teeth brushing inconvenient. If you're looking to meet people and have a social experience, it might not be the best place to make friends. Despite these aspects, everything else was wonderful! Thanks you so much

Only downside is the slight lack of toilet/ showers when the hostel was busy but it wasn’t ever too much of an issue just a small wait sometimes!
Facilities were clean especially the dorms. There was a great social aspect to the hostel as it always seemed to be people around the social area especially during the free breakfast! (Breakfast was great also). Free coffee, tea, popcorn and cakes all day long was a lovely touch and the snacks/ drinks available were extremely cheap even for a hostel. The lady on the front desk was incredibly helpful in arranging scooter rentals, tours and travel to our next destination for a price much cheaper than any tour office nearby. Also the location of the hostel is great just a 3 minute walk to long beach and plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance!

(I stayed in a four dorm room.) The mattress are quite hard and all beds are framed together in one metal construction. Most people probably don't mind, but if you are a light sleeper, this might be a bit challenging since you feel every movement and every turn somebody does in your room.. But like I said most people won't mind and probably don't even notice when they are sleeping. 😊
Great place to meet people. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Best Breakfast I've had so far 😊. Overall great value for money! Recommended!

Bed was really hard even by thai standards, my back was hurting after staying here. Staff were nice but not that friendly but they did seem to work quite long days. The common space wasn't great for meeting people unless you shared a table at breakfast. It's confusing because the hostel is spread across 2 buildings, so didn't know where to check in at first. Tours/transport booked was a bit more expensive than booking online. Should put somewhere to hang your towel in the dorms/shelf for shoes since you aren't allowed to bring them upstairs
Bathrooms and dorms were clean, breakfast was good, could book tours/transport at the desk, nice beach nearby

It is not directly at the beach and sometimes its a bit noisy from the busy street right in front.
The social activities were great. The stuff organised an amazing christmas party. It was a great experience.

The lock on the dorm door makes a locking, bleeping noise every time it closes. Morning and night. It said beach front but is actually across a fairly busy road and then a 5min walk to the beach.
The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.

Breakfast, fruit platter, toast and a choice lf eggs (scrambled/fried/omelette plus tea and coffee. The location was also good, very near the beach. Motorbike hire 200 baht a day. Can also book all transfers.

The WiFi wasn’t to great as I was right at the top of the 2nd building in the furthest bed.
Staff were super helpful & the hostel was closed to the beach & the gym. Breakfast was excellent, was expecting a basic breakfast with the price of the hostel but it exceeded my expectations with the variety of items & I didn’t need to eat again until a lot later in the day.

Only one shower per floor but could just use others that were free. The door was also kind of annoying to open and close but really not much to complain about
Lovely family feel. The staff were great and the woman on the front desk was very friendly and super helpful, giving us tips and all the information we needed. Just little things like the breakfast, helping with transfers and even offering free beach mats was so appreciated. Would recommend! :)
