Mosquitos in the open air dining areas. Perhaps some citronella candles.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them and I was very grateful. Also the bed was super comfortable with lovely pillows and a mattress topper.

Convenient situation overlooking Mekong with gardens and teak trees . Unusual Onsen overlooking the river a unique touch. Clean swimming pool on riverside terrace and attractive dining area.

The hotel is opposite HuayXai Laos across Mekong River. The hotel is an easy access to walking/cycling path along the river. You can also rent an electric bike for Bath 50 to venture around ChiangKong, expecially along Meking River.

The bathroom was very dated, the shower head was fixed and low, meant that you had to bend over to take a shower if you are tall. The pool area was a little disjointed, not a lot of lounge chairs, but tons of dining tables and chairs, they should bring in more loungers, as many people were wishing they had them.

We had a room with a balcony on the river which we loved, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and a decent size. Breakfast was good, nice buffet. The location was great, walking distance to everything.

Most people coming to Chiang Khong are coming for one reason only! To cross into Laos and do a two night Mekhong Cruise to Luang Prabang in Laos. If not, dont come. If so, book a two night cruise stopping overnight in Pakbeng and stay a night. This is the finest €200 2 night cruise in the world! Believe me! This hotel overlooks the river, offers wonderful views, has excellent helpul staff and a super cool infinity pool overlooking the river. The town is as cute as a Thai town gets and its a rural idyll compared to even Chaing Rai. If you ARE doing the river trip, GET AN ONLINE LAOS VISA!!!! It'll save you two hours on crossing day!

Staff were attentive. The pool and restaurant overlooking the river were lovely. We enjoyed the use of the ebikes (50 Baht for an hour). The hot Onsen pool was nice when it got chilly in the evening.

Some very load music coming over the river from Laos until very late one night, but not really much the hotel could do about this.

Excellent location on the banks of the Mekong Rivet - it’s worth paying the extra for a river view room. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and nice swimming pool overlooking the river. I was pleased that I had booked for three nights as Chiang Khong is an interesting town with good promenade walks beside the river, several wats to visit and border town Thai life to observe. Also the hotel and its facilities are very quiet during the daytime (I had the swimming pool more or less to myself after breakfast until about 4 pm in the afternoon).

Superb Onsen, friendly staff, great location on riverside with views into Laos. If your a biker they have an airline in the bike park area. Very convenient
