We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur only issue was that we booked a swim up room as per the pictures, and although we had a swim up room it had a pathway and wasn’t exactly as booked.
Very clean, very friendly staff and great amount of food choices which were high quality. Also lots of sun loungers

United KingdomYou should avoid diving with the onsite dive centre (SeaBees). Whilst the lady in the shop is lovely, the actual dive boat was a shambles, overcrowded and unsafe. As a diving instructor who has worked and dived all over the world, I have never been on such an professional boat. The guides were friendly, but pretty clueless - from the wildlife to the (non) dive briefing. I rented a computer only to find it didn’t work - I did get a refund for this. I also dived with WetZone (in nearby Bang Niang) who were absolutely excellent and I would recommend.
This hotel is excellent: beautiful rooms which are made up twice a day. It has plenty for children without feeling like a play park. We had a swim up room which was fabulous. It’s chic and classy. The rooms are well equipped with luxury toiletries, and they even provide a beach bag. For food, we found the hotel restaurants to be very expensive for what they provided. The food was ok, but at around £100 for two adults having a starter, a main and two beers, we thought this was too much for the quality, in Thailand. Our child (who was 3) ate for free so that was a bonus. The included breakfast was excellent. There are plenty of great local Thai restaurants on the beach next to the hotel, so we ate well and drank plenty. There’s a supermarket at the end of the driveway with everything you could need, from suncream and milk to beers at a fraction of the price in the hotel.

CroatiaAmazing resort, really beautiful ambience, stunning property, so relaxing and peaceful. It’s so big you can’t feel the crowds. Pools and gardens are so beautiful and nicely maintained with special details and touches. Kids area is great, beach is nice, staff and concierges were so polite, fast and helpful with all our requests, transfers and trips. Gourmet offer is great, we ate every night in their restaurants and on the beach. Breakfast is really sumptuous, great choice of food and fruits. Only coffee is so-so- they should have proper espresso machine. Also, we really liked their entertainment program every day - kids movie night, fire show and bamboo shark sanctuary. Worth mentioning - next to the resort is the public beach with many nice bars and restaurants, possibilities to have beach massages, pedicure, hair styling, laundry wash, taxis to city… etc. We used resort’s spa which was stunning with excellent treatments and service. We really enjoyed our stay. Only thing - there should be more signage around, as you could easily get lost. Anyway we were so happy there and are planning to come again, but to take a room with a pool access. Great value for money.

FranceSome minor maintenance issue with the A/C impacted a bit the comfort of our stay , as we had to change the room after the 3rd day.
The room was big and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful during the entire stay and also very nice in all of the restaurants. The food was excellent no matter the restaurant and time, especially breakfast. The location is great, the resort facing a huge beach pretty quiet and romantic, with scenic views and lot of sun beds and umbrellas. The swimming pool is one of a kind.

SwedenYou have a rule that it´s not allowed to reserve sunbeds in the morning. We saw lots of people that reserved sunbeds before having breakfast and showing up hours later. There is no point in having rules when they are not followed
You have to do something about the birds flying around in the breakfast area, hoping and picking around the food. It´s not healthy. Maybe have the doors shut and get rid of all birds before you puts the food on the counters. It´s definitlely annoying. It´s a bit disturbing with crying children in the adult breakfast area. The music is to loud in the breakfast area

RomaniaWe booked an elephants bathing tour through the concierge and it was a disappointment, a total tourist trap which did not resemble to a sanctuary at all. Elephants were made to do tricks and they did not look very healthy at all. Also, the resort is 10-15 min away from the town, but you have shuttle buses taking you there multiple times a day if you want to stroll around.
We really enjoyed our stay here. After having to change our room after the first night due to an unpleasant damp/ mold smell, we got a beach access ground floor room in one of the new buildings (area 6), which was exceptional - very fun for our son to jump straight to the pool from the room's terrace. The staff was extremely prompt and helpful with the room changing situation. Super comfortable bed and pillows, lovely bathroom. Breakfast was amazing, with so many options to choose from. Highly recommend the Drift beachfront restaurant for dinner - one of the best steak and grilled shrimps we ever had! Beach was also very nice, with fine sand and amazing viewing of the sunsets.

RussiaNext room was under construction. Noisy. During Christmas dinner I didn’t like the singer Eka Soundz, it was a torture to listen to her. She can barely sing, everything was off tune. The first they she said was: “I spent so much time to get to you this night”, (she traveled from Phuket as all the guests, I believe max 1,5 hours). I didn’t get the point with bringing her daughter and letting her perform. We are not at kindergarten
My 4th visit to this hotel, and everything remains top notch, except Christmas dinner entertainment. Attentive service, great facilities, lots of activities

FinlandThe restaurants in the resort area were quite expensive and the service wasn’t always at the same level as elsewhere in the resort. For example, we visited the Thai restaurant Ta-Krai three times during our stay, and the service wasn’t very good. They got our orders wrong multiple times and waiting times were long. Two times out of three we ended up eating at different times as they brought wrong foods out. Once we didn’t even bother to correct the order as it had already taken an hour to even get the food. We noticed that the people around us had same problems.
Amazing resort with many activities! The resort is huge with multiple different areas for families with kids as well as for adults only. The service in general was very good, all the employees were extremely nice and helpful. Different activities were arranged daily from yoga to different excursions. The room was nice and quiet. The resort area and pools were also clean. Perfect for adults that doesn’t want to be around families with small children all the time but wants to enjoy the amenities of huge, versatile resort, as some of the pools and on side of the beach was adults only (12+ years).

AustraliaThe on-site restaurants were extremely over priced and food not very good quality compared with alternatives outside the resort. We ended up having meals at Pam’s up the road which was fresh, delicious, cheap, and had a free shuttle to/from the resort.
JW Marriott was beautiful. Every detail attended to, the decor was lovely and it was very comfortable. The pool was gorgeous and beach location superb - the beach was so lovely to swim in, with warm turquoise water and white sand.

SwitzerlandUnfortunately with the lot of green there come a lot of insects. we had two insane huge coackroaches at night in the room. We foubd a 3. smaller one when we were about to check out. I understand it is tropical resort and some insects are there. If you dont mind them this is the hotel for you. As said before. the hotel team managed the situation perfect and let us check out with getting a refund for the remaining nights. but still it woukd have been better this never happend in the first place. If you scared of them or dont feel save sleeping with them in the room i recommend the le meridien khao lak which also belongs to the marriot group and has absolute spotless rooms.
The hotel itself is absolutly beautyfull with wonderful gardens a beach to die for and huge pools. the staff is also absolut fantastic. We did not feel comfortable just for one point (insects in our room) and when we told the staff about that they allowed us to cancle the remaining nights which i am very thankful for. Thats why i still wanna give a good review.

AustraliaWas treated like a criminal upon checkin because there was an issue with my bank or so the staff alleged. The staff did not show any empathy or compassion, simply demanding immediate payment. They acted very unprofessionally and without any remorse. After waiting for over an hour it was determined the issue was with Marriott's bank not mine. Not a very pleasant experience to be treated like a criminal and no apology was forthcoming. It was really the very forceful attitude shown by staff that was the issue, trying to blame me when it was all their problem.
Great resort with excellent facilities.
