Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe price :)) Our two bedroom suite was located on the 1st floor, far away from the beach and restaurants. Unlike the ground rooms that had pool access.
The facilities - lots of areas for play: billiard, air hockey, ping pong, free sup, canoe and body boards. Plus lots of activities, including marshmallows on the beach! The breakfast was amazing, the pools were great... our cleaning lady "Fern" always suprised us with animals made from towels:) The attention to details was amazing, always smiling and offering to help.

DenmarkThe food and the service at the beach bar was not the same level as the rest of the hotel (slow service, mediocre food, not very friendly personnel). Other than that, we loved everything.
Everything was excellent. One of the best hotels we have ever been to.

South AfricaNothing.
Everything was fantastic. The suite was clean, modern and spacious. The pool being over 2km, there was always a close entry and from anywhere in the resort. The beach was great, waves are small but still allow for boogie boarding or surfing. Supplying free rental on surf boards, boogie boards, kayak and paddle boards is a bonus. Staff is attentive always going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.

The staff were incredible! A special mention and thank you to Die, Leila, Aunty Joy and Chef Enzo. They ALWAYS went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Not just us, but everyone. The resort itself is spectacular and although we were there for two weeks, each day was different and special. So much to do for adults and children. We’ve been coming there most years since 2010 and it’s been even better each year. We went there as boyfriend and girlfriend, as a married couple, with one child, then two children and this time 3 children. It simply caters for all and holds a very special place in our heart, it’s our happy place. See you all again very soon xxxxxxxx

Bahrain- The swimming pool didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of clarity; it wasn't as crystal-clear as I hoped. - Regarding dining, the Italian cuisine was decent, but it fell short of the exceptional standard I anticipated, especially compared to offerings at other Marriott resorts in Phuket. - Breakfast could use some improvement. For example, the pancakes were quite thick, and Nutella was not readily available—it had to be requested. While fresh juices and milkshakes were provided, the portions felt somewhat limited. - The fire show was entertaining, but it raised some safety concerns during my visit. Certain acts on the beach appeared risky, particularly due to the use of kerosene in the fire tools. Safety measures seemed inadequate, and there were moments that felt potentially hazardous, especially when kerosene was sprayed toward the audience. - Additionally, there was a lack of activities outside the resort in the surrounding area.
- My experience at the resort was exceptional, beautifully blending luxury, relaxation, and family-friendly amenities. - I was captivated by the lush tropical grounds and stunning beachfront views. My room was spacious and modern, offering a comfortable sanctuary with all the amenities needed for a restful stay. - The staff were not only professional but also genuinely warm and welcoming. Their attentive service throughout check-in, dining, and activities truly made my stay memorable. - The family-friendly atmosphere was a standout feature. The kids' club and play area were thoughtfully designed and engaging, allowing children to have a great time while we enjoyed some relaxation. - The swimming pools were impressive and well-maintained, providing a fun environment that entertained both kids and adults. - Overall, the food was decent, though on the pricier side. The breakfast selection was extensive and excellent.

Bahrain- The area and restaurants lack Halal food options, which might limit choices for Muslims. We suggest the resort consider offering Halal food in all its restaurants.
- The two bedrooms were comfortable and made the stay worthwhile. - The swimming pools were perfect for the kids to play in. - The sea was excellent for swimming and surfing. - Sea activities, like surfing boards and kids' sand tools, were readily available. - Towels and sunbeds were provided around the sea and pools. - The waterfront restaurant for breakfast was incredible, offering a wide variety of food. It's the best I've ever seen. - The staff were supportive and always helpful. - Room cleaning was handled by great staff—thanks to them. - Multiple restaurants, including Thai, Japanese, Italian, and seafood options, were available. - The kids' club was amazing for both us and our children, with various games and activities. - The reception was very supportive and welcoming, with smooth check-in and check-out processes. - The resort arranged taxi pickups whenever requested. - Pools with waterslides and a trampoline were great activities for the kids. - Activities like animal feeding were enjoyable.

Bahrain**Review: JW Marriott Khao Lak** Wow! Just wow! The JW Marriott Khao Lak is truly an exceptional hotel. Located an hour and a half from the airport, this hotel leaves a lasting impression from the moment you arrive. ### Arrival and First Impressions We were warmly welcomed with a delightful hibiscus drink and given a comprehensive tour of the hotel. They provided us with a schedule of activities, 90% of which were free for all guests. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful, and I can't emphasize enough how amazing it was. ### Pools and Amenities The pools are enormous – there are around five or more, including the largest river pool in Asia that winds around the entire hotel. There are dedicated areas for kids, with two big pools featuring various games, while the rest are for adults. The amenities are top-notch, and the staff is exceptionally helpful, kind, and down to earth. ### Room Quality Our room was exceptional. We had two rooms with a living area and buggy service. The suite option is highly recommended over the smaller rooms, as it offers a significantly more pleasant experience. ### Dining The breakfast area is extensive, offering every option you could think of, including live cooking stations. We opted for the all-inclusive package, which included one lunch option per person and a three-course dinner per person. The portions were generous and perfect for our group of five. The hotel's restaurants are diverse and delicious, featuring Italian, Thai, Japanese, and international cuisine, as well as grills and pizza options near the pool. All the restaurants were top-notch, and we enjoyed every meal. ### Activities and Entertainment The hotel offers a vast array of activities from 8 am to 8 pm. The fire show on the beach at night was a highlight. We also participated in a bath bomb workshop at the spa, which was very enjoyable.

RussiaA bit busy in the breakfast restaurant, maybe because there have been some events arranged in the hotel (corporate conferences, wedding, etc). The beach could have been a bit cleaner.
Attitude. We spent 3 weeks out there, 3 days before check out date the air conditioner on the 2nd floor in the room where our kids lived turned out of service. The hotel’s administration did their best to relocate us to another room, and furthermore provided some gifts as apologies for the inconvenience. We greately appreciate such a warm treatment of us as valued guests. Extremely quiet atmosphere in the large hotel’s territory. Ideal for families with kids.

SingaporeThe breakfast area was full of flies. Not sure why but almost every table could see other guests flapping their hands every now and then to keep the flies away. Room cleaning was always very late, not sure why but it could be due to the large resort area and their many rooms.
Great facilities in terms of room and recreation. Very friendly staff. Needed medical attention in late night and the resort sent medical personnel and arrange doctor to come to our room. Very appreciative of that.

IndiaNothing much to complain except the breakfast spread where we found the Indian section below par. The overall spread was quite large being a multi-cuisine buffet breakfast.
Everything about JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort suites was top notch. Right from the accommodation (family of 4; availed a suite), the courteous staff, quality food and beverage outlets (Ta-Krai, Sakura, Olive, Sala and the Beach Bar restaurant), Quan spa, the 3 km long swimming pool, the facilities at the beach, various activities being arranged by the property were all very enjoyable during our week long stay. We will definitely return soon. Tip: Highly recommend the all meals plan with spa treatment package.

AustraliaThe breakfast set up is a bit chaotic and felt understaffed w staff struggling to cope with the numbers...v challenging at times to get basic things like coffee etc. Service at the pool bar was v slow and staff could be friendlier. Service levels generally felt lower than competitors like Hyatt.
the property is stunning - pristine beach, excellent reataurants, great facilities and the new resort suites were fantastic. Olive restaurant was the best Italian food we have had in Asua
