We had an amazing experience at this hotel! The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast each morning was delicious. The hotel's private beach is simply out of this world – peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. As a family with young kids, we also really appreciated the excellent play area and the many kid-friendly options available throughout the hotel. Highly recommended for both couples and families!

I would say this resort is 4 star not 5, but really lovely none the less.

Lovely room, very comfy big bed. We had a private pool which was really nice although in the shade most of the day, not that that is a problem necessarily. The pool was very small but nice for a quick dip. Breakfast was great although very busy at times. A good selection of food on offer. The resort felt calm and peaceful during the day. I liked the pool by the Tin restaurant as it was always quiet. Close to a lovely quiet beach and short walk to some great little local restaurants and massages. The free transfer to town and the market was welcomed. All the staff were lovely.

As noted, a bit aged. Although marketed as a 5star resort I would say this is more of a 4.5 star, just missing some of the touches you would expect for the money you pay (mainly the villa cost, i think the normal room rate is fair).

Reasonable resort, showing its age however. We stayed in the 1BR villa which was spacious and relatively private. Good food options external near the beach. Breakfast was great and had decent variety.

The way to the beach was quite tricky and the chairs over there are not that comfortable, which I would expect differently from a 5 star hotel.

The pool was very nice. The breakfast had gluten free options that I could choose from and it was prepared separately. Most of the staff was very kind, especially the one security guard who was a gem.

The construction. But they did it well and it was not loud. The bridge is necessary so we completely understand the situation.

We loved how the property is intertwined with the nature- loved the estuary and the walk to the beach. Beautiful dining area elevated for great views. Quality food and wonderful drinks. Great service and friendly staff. Gorgeous rooms and pools with breathtaking views and the sound of nature.

Although beautiful, the design was very dark, harking back to mining days. This is just a matter of taste however, as personally I would prefer a lighter design. It is all stylish and beautifully done. While the rooms are large and appear very solid, sound travels easily and some rather noisy guests kept us awake close to midnight from their rooms next door. It almost sounded as if they were in the room with us.

The location on the river / beach is beautiful. The facilities around the beach are wonderful. We liked the Japanese à la carte restaurant and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Kalima is exceptional in every way. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the kids pool and facilities are immaculately clean and provide lots of choice, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff some of the nicest we met in the whole of Thailand. We can’t wait to come back.

I can’t say anything bad about this place.

Just back from a two week trip to Thailand and spent 4 days here. Could not fault anything about this resort. From the minute we got there the staff were so lovely and friendly. From reception to grounds staff everyone was so nice. The resort, pools, beach were beautiful. Lots to do for kids and adults.

The only minus was our view from the room and that it was a bit dark. We had another building to look at outside our window. But we saw that this was one of the fewer rooms with such a view. Most have beautiful views. All in all it was a wonderful experience and would definitely return and recommend Kalima!

The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are well looked after and have a great tropical look. We loved the main swimming pool, the variety at breakfast, the river and the beach! The shuttle service is also very reliable, so it is not a problem that it is a bit far from town.

Smoking on site, especially near the hotel eating area. Limited number of sun lounges, noticed some people using towels to hold sun loungers early in the morning, then leaving the area.

We wanted peace and quiet after travelling through Thailand, and we found what we were looking for. It is only a short 10 min tuk tuk / hotel shuttle ride to the markets. Good restaurants outside the entrance of the hotel and a 10 min easy walk to the beach restaurants.

The resort was great, not too big and the pool rooms felt private. Lots to do and the beach was a little walk away but the fact that it was totally private made up for this. The rooms were beautiful!

The private pool was great and we used it a lot! The private beach was gorgeous and a real pleasure to visit every time! Nice little beach bar there too. Great selection of activities and areas to relax with.

The view from our room was advertised as "pool room with a view" but the view was awful - a view of bins and airvents at the back of the gym. The room was not what it was advertised as. I had sent a message to the property via booking.com but had not received a reply prior to checking out. - disappointing! There should also be water stations to refill water bottles as the tap water is not drinkable.

Beautiful rooms with private pools. Great selection of food, drinks, pools, activities and excursions. Spa is worth a visit. Beach is beautiful, especially at sunset. Staff all very helpful and welcoming.

Compared to Kalima Phuket ( we stayed the previous 4 days) the room daily presentation ( towel sculptures and treats ( sweet box)) was not there. Also one of the days we came back from a full daytrip and our room door was open ( after cleaners went in). The door does not close automatically ( 6202). Luckily nothing was missing.

Whilst the staff did come to clean daily, there were a few things that could have been improved, as below: -There were fake eyelashes stuck to the bathroom wall from a previous guest -Our fridge door did not close and after messaging reception about this they advised someone would come to look at this, however this never happened -There were some issues with our air con which meant it was making loud ‘clonking’ sounds at 2am which kept me awake (this was fixed) -The outdoor area was not cleaned by the pool) therefore it ended up covered in leaves and debris by the end of our trip. I would have been happy to do this myself but could not see a broom / dustpan

The property we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and we loved the one bedroom villa we stayed in. The private pool really made this trip special, the huge bed was very comfortable and the lovely staff brought cakes daily and a welcome fruit bowl which were fantastic touches. We enjoyed how spacious the villa was, including the bathtub and the decor was stunning. As a vegan, I expected challenges with food options, however the staff were so helpful in making sure I was well accommodated and their customer service skills were brilliant.
