The mattresses were horrible, possibly the worst I have ever slept on! Also, the showers were cold.

Amazing staff and a good place to meet people! The dorm beds have a good amount privacy and a shelf to unpack your bags.

A little small but great value for money.

This hostel is such an amazing place to stay as the staff are really friendly and you will definitely get a chance to meet and make new friends. There is a bar just outside where you can relax and get a couple of drinks. There is also a place on top to dry your stuff if you have been diving or been to the beach. Overall a wonderful place to connect with people.

You have to pay for a towel, beds aren’t very private even though they have a curtain, if on top bunk, only a low wall separating you and person next door

although they mopped the floors and cleaned the bathrooms multiple times a day there was an awful smell coming from them the whole time, and the bathroom door didn't close properly not sure if this was just in my room or the others too but apart from that it was all ok :)

really close to sairee beach, plenty of nice food places nearby and a 7/11 across the street staff and reps were rlly helpful and friendly bed was comfy and spacious

no AC, i know this is a budget hostel but i do think AC in thailand is something necessary, personallly i’d rather have AC and simpler amenities or pay a bit more. Also I did not like at all that they did not lock any doors during night, I don’t know if they do later but I got there at 1am one night and everything was closed but not locked.. thailand is safe but as a solo traveller i didn’t feel very comfortable with that

The room smelled really bed, 6 people in such a small room without ventilation. The AC was shut off during the day which so the smell then was even worse. I slept on a higher bed and it is nice that they have curtains in front but that doesn’t help if there aren’t any on the side, you can watch your neighbour sleeping.

The location was really nice, just a few minute walk from the pier

There was only 1 shower for the entire dorm

The staff at The loft are amazing and super helpful. Super passionate about Koh Tao. They are happy to help organise transport, activities and diving. The hostel has a very good social atmosphere and easy to meet new friends! We stayed as a couple and definitely reccomend. The beds were also super comfortable with curtains.

Nice hostel and amazingly kind staff, which made my stay. The location isn’t the best but with a 20 min walk or on the moped you get to where the action on the island is. The room I was in had an AC but it was very weak and the fan was stuck in one position. I got unlucky with my bed and therefore got no air from the fan or the AC which meant that I had some hot nights…

- there's no insulation at all so it gets really hot during the day - many people stay downstairs (including staff), talking and laughing a lot until late, music until 11pm - good to know in case you have troubles falling asleep - no drinking water or fridge was provided, towel +50bht (something that's pretty standard on the land or even at some other hostels on the island) - half an hour walk to the wide part of the beach - sometimes I had no warm water, but I don't care as it's so hot

- separate "cells" with curtains and a little table inside makes you feel comfortable and private - close to the pier - clean - reasonable price

the beds have curtains, but they don't cover most of these bed so you are quite exposed which may be a problem if your looking for more privacy.

The beds weren’t bunk beds but rather single beds with curtains which means you have more space around the bed to store your backpack and belongings. The room was clean and the bar closes at 11 so it's easy to get a good nights sleep if you are getting up early.
