    Amazing, we loved it!

We loved the suite but the bathroom didn't have a closed roof, therefore we had to lock the doors to the bathroom from the bedroom when we were sleeping. This also made us not want to use the jacuzzi bath as bugs could come in etc. Stairs up to the suite were tricky.

We LOVED our stay at Cococape and WISH we knew how amazing it really was before and spent more of our vacation here. The suite was AMAZING with lots of space - it was comfortable and cosy. The balcony was large, with a cosy hammock. The pier was the highlight of our stay and being able to snorkel there was a GREAT touch. The staff were fun, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best out of all our stays in Thailand.

Wish the wind had died down but not the Hotels fault for that. Also , I know Thai beds are all hard but as mostly foreign guests so maybe think about better, softer beds. Hotel was more expensive than most.

The architecture and space were planned very well. Beautiful deck with great view. Pool layout was excellent and interesting.

Don’t rent the studio ! It is horrible, smelly, small with no windows and stuck behind an other building. We were given an other room after mentioning the terrible smell and it was so much better. Most things could’ve been cleaner in the room but we are not massively picky with that. You have to pay for the kayaks , which is unusual when you are a guest. A deposit, sure, but paying, no. The wind during high season ( which is not the resort’s fault) is very intense until late afternoon and you can’t be sitting out for breakfast or go in the water because of the big waves. The other side of the island is the place to be during this time of year. There is no beach. The breakfast is ok but lots of things should be kept warm instead of cold.. like eggs, pancakes, potatoes etc.

Great pool, beautiful location, the pier is unique and a nice place to hang out at the end of the day. Food for dinner was good. Some of the restaurant staff were amazing with our 2yr old boy, playing and entertaining him.

Amazing place, but needs better maintenance

    * Unfortunately, the rooms are not well kept up and cleaned. With a little paint, maintenance, and cleaning, this would have been the coolest place I've stayed on the island. * You should also keep in mind that it is just next to the forest, so frogs and other animals are normal to be around. The bathroom is open - so the animals can also "come in". I think it gives a true island vibe, but some of the insects should have been cleaned (but as mentioned, the cleaning was not very good) * The place is not easy to reach without taxi or motorcycle, so you can be a bit "stuck".

The location of the place is absolutely stunning, especially the bar! You can go swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing from the deck. The breakfast is quite nice and the food I had in the restaurant was also very good! The staff is really helpful and can help organize transportation.

The ladies at the reception are not great at their job: we are a family of 4 and booked a 2 bedroom apartment but they only cleaned 1 bedroom at first because they thought we could all sleep in 1 bedroom. Later we booked a boat ticket via the resort but after hours pf waiting we found out the boat was cancelled. They ultimately resolved both issues, but such things should not happen in the first place. The pool and toilets could use some maintenance.

Large resort with pleasant terraces, a restaurant and sea bar and a pool with 2 levels. Great views over the ocean. The corals around the resort (although hindered by a sea urchin plague) are actively being restored with the result that snorkeling is okay around the resort. Very good breakfast with a good choice range (although the coffee isnt great). Guests daily receive new towels and water bottles.

The food selection in the restaurant was not great and everything was deep fried. The hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill and there is no free shuttle bus up it which would make life easier. You also couldn't order food at the jetty bar and if you ordered at the restaurant you had to collect it yourself. The 'lake' was ugly and dirty and needs to be revamped.

The pool area was lovely and the rooms were nice. Good WIFI.

There is some obvious upkeep that would have improved the appearance and quality of our room without significant expense. Particularly in the bathroom - the shower, the toilet (seat) and the sink area.

The location and overall vibe of the property is great. Sprawling and relaxed - like the island.

Rather worn out and in need of maintenance. Covid has clearly hit Koh Mak hard and the island needs tourist in order to get capital for renovation!
