Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBe aware there are a fair amount of steps to go up to get to the hostel which could be tough for less active people. Also based on my own experience, I was sleeping in a top bunk right under the A/C unit and it was ridiculously cold, so cold I had to sleep with clothes on at night.
Great facilities with the pool and view over Railay east. Drinks and food also well priced. Pub crawls and pub quizzes are also offered amongst other things which I found was a great place to meet people travelling solo

United KingdomThe restaurant only opens at 9am which isn’t ideal for someone who wakes up early or needs to make an early ferry but it’s not the end of the world, there’s other restaurants around that are open.
The pool was great, staff were super friendly and attentive and the buffet dinner was very delicious. The stairs that people complain about are not that bad at all, and there’s a lift for your bags.

TurkeyRooms could be renovated well also the showers. Insıde of the room right behind reception is just too dark that you feel depressed the whole tıme you are ın the room.
The pool area is pretty good to hangout at. I met lots of people there that I spent my whole time in Railay with. If you are a solo traveler this is a great place to meet with others. The view from the deck next to the pool is pretty cool. I stsayed in the room right behind the reception. The rooms are just okay. Not the best for sure but if you are looking for more for facilities and only a bed then its okay. The stairs.... They are pretty hard to climb especially under the heat but thankfully there is a carrier thing to put your bags so you don't have to carry them up and down once you check in and check out.

United KingdomThe worst thing about this place is the long stairs you have to climb everytime you go there. Its not too bad but youll definitely be sweating after dragging your bags up there. Be careful climbing them drunk
The view is great from the pool and the staff are super friendly and organising events all the time. The bar crawl was fun. The bed was comfortable.

The food served was good, a lot of stairs to climb keeps you fit! Pool was refreshing in the non stop heat/humidity. Showers were hot. Hostel keeps your passport during stay which helps.

NetherlandsThe room felt a bit out dated, mainly the bathroom. Was missing a toilet seat. The shower had one temperature. The showerhead was falling off. The hostel is up alot (!) of stairs, so be prepared for that. Definitely overpriced for Thailand but as the only hostel they can pretty much name their price.
Amazing swimming pool with great views. Staff was very friendly and will help you book tours and onward transportation. Location is okay, about 15 minutes from Railay west beach (where the long tail boats from Ao Nang arrive).

NetherlandsPlumbing of the toilet is very poor. Seating at the pool could be updated, the seats are not very comfortable.
Great location, very nice pool, fun activities. It was a very social hostel, there were fun activities such as a pub crawl. Everyone goes down to the bar outside the hostel at 22 pm so there is no noise at night in the rooms!

United KingdomDorm beds don't have curtains
The pool is amazing (even if it is freezing cold!!) - super clean and refreshing. Also loved the sun deck with comfy sun lounger-style cushions. Air con in the dorm was great and it was super clean. Bathroom was also clean and shower was decent. Drinks aren't too expensive (definitely recommend the sangria bucket) and there are organised activities every day/night. The boat tour is really good value for money & if you join the events in the bars below you can discounted drinks. There are a LOT of steps up to the hostel but there is a pully for bags so at least you don't have to carry them up if you don't want to
