stained bed sheet, very hard mattress, aircon only on in certain hours, watched them clean the bathroom with a 10 second spray of the bidet spray.

The bedsheets were dirty. The room was smelly, wet, full of insects. Matrasses were plastic. We couldn’t check in at the agreed time.

The view is very nice. Also the location Railay beach is a very nice starting point to visit the islands

Air con in room was full of black mould, dripping all night and you can see the trail of black mould on the ceiling. Some of the staff were rude and short, especially if you need toilet paper or telling them about the air con issue. Passport was taken at checkin and held as ranson incase you broke a rule and get fined, but we were told this is country policy which it isn't. Shower also broke on our last night

Location was beautiful, nice walk up some stairs but they had a pulley for your bags for arrival and leaving. Some (not all) of the staff were great and lovely

Bathrooms smelt pretty bad, sheets were dirty feeling when I arrived and termites landing on the beds. Beds were pretty hard, just a piece of foam not a mattress.

The location is incredible, the pool overlooks the ocean just as the photos depict.

After leaving i had experienced a eye infection which the doctor i met believed from my recent activities was caused by the pool at the facility. Staff response to my claims were really unprofessional and lacked empathy, brushing my claims off even when explaining the issues this infection has caused me, including severe pain, discomfort and a ruined 2 weeks of the end of my trip Initial responses to my emails were made but my guess is my points which were fair and respectful started to become plausible and so they stopped responding. I am disappointed with my overall stay at this hostel, there were some positives as i mentioned but my experiences following and even the fact no management even followed me up showed that the owner probably does not care and is happy to just take peoples money without acknowledging any fault or apologising for my problems. I would not tell you not to stay at railay beach if that is what you want to do but take on board my points about the pool and acknowledge them as an honest attempt to protect others and ensure that you do not experience the same problems that i did.

- lockers were broken, not safe at all - room and bathroom were very old - cold water in the shower - you just pay for refilling water bottle (for this price I’d expect such basic thing as water to be free) - stairs leading to the hostel are quite old and haven’t felt safe

I arrived only to find out I can’t check in because I didn’t have my physical passport with me that they wanted to keep hold of because if ‘immigration come round’ they can get a huge fine. ive travelled the world many times and this is the first I’ve ever heard of this. huge red flag. They only mention this in the very very small print and then email AFTER you’ve booked. They then refused to give me a refund. The place looked dirty and damp, I wouldn’t recommend and the long stairs up to the hostel were so bad.

Bed Bugs, Avoid Avoid!!!! We found two bed bugs a few hours after check in. As a result we told reception and showed them a video of them. At the time they were understanding allowing us to check out and said they would sort a refund through bookings.com due to the booking being paid for in advance. We agreed and had to rush to find a new accommodation. It's been several days and I have been ghosted by the property. Booking.com have also been in successful. Do not stay here, pay a little more and get a bed bug free accommodation!!!

Really bad humidity smell in the room, found a cigarette in my bed, not clean and very hard mattress. Not because the price is pretty cheap that it’s allowed to let people stay that way. Really don’t understand good comments…

Hardly anything - this isn’t anything against the hostel but be careful when hanging washing out on the line, at night there are thousands of ants walking it (still got ants in my pants lol)

Loved this place! Staff were so welcoming and friendly, they offered plenty of tours and activities without being pushy. Location is great, it’s up a big flight of stairs but that gives it an amazing view from the pool. The pool/bar area is clean, drinks are reasonably priced, beaches are near and there are a few nice restaurants close by. The 6 man dorms are clean, well kitted out and kept at a nice temp, just make sure to close the door to keep the monkeys out!

The rooms were stuffy and felt unclean & damp and the same with the bathroom. Everything felt a bit run down. Over priced for a hostel let alone of this standard.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Location on Railay was good.

Bed was rock hard, no privacy curtains, AC didn't work (86F in the room overnight), shower didn't lock, everything was a little bit grimy. Reception held my passport hostage and was difficult to get a hold of.

The hotel proceeds to illegal practices listed by the staff in their internal policy, they confiscate your passport during your stay. This practice is totally illegal because passports are the property of the state and not of individuals. They do this because only one person can register you with the local immigration. The hotel imposes its practices because it does not want to put enough resources. In addition, the hotel does not refund your stay even though this practice is condemnable. The hotel is connected to the bar at the bottom of the hill which makes a lot of noise at night! The rooms are simple but the sheets are full of stains. I absolutely don't recommend!

beds have some sort of sweaty leather mattress, which I’m pretty sure are not designed for sleeping on. not comfortable they refused to give us the control to the A/C, so if you want to turn it up or down in the night you can’t rooms are quite shabby door to room doesn’t close properly, it’s held shut by a magnet at the top so you can very easily push the door open even if it’s locked we had to queue up for 45 mins to check in, even though we arrived at check in time. they check everyone in one by one, so a big group of people were left waiting for ages in the heat during a ridiculously slow check in process

nice social area, lots of group activities to take part in. if you’re looking to meet people and party, you can’t go wrong with this
