Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property is very tired, need complete refurbishment. The doors are all falling apart and things really just not up to standard. Our first room stunk of sewage so was moved to another room, which had a broken AC unit. Which thankfully was fixed. The pool need a complete clean as was green and dirty.
The location is good close to port and easy to get anywhere on island

AustraliaThere was a sewage smell around the breakfast area. There is no lift so you have to carry your own luggage to the stairs. Unless staff is available to help you with your luggage. The bed is placed on a concrete slab so it was very uncomfortable! Lots of mosquitoes due to a swamp at the back of the hotel. So bring mosquito spray. Same breakfast menu every day. Slow on filling up the empty food trays.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The receptionist spoke English.

United KingdomBreakfast could have a bigger verity on offer. Especially in the fresh fruit department. Fresh juice would have been nice. The bar by the pool not open.
Good, quiet location, yet only 5 minutes from local amenities and 10 minutes to the beach. Nice, comfortable room with access to the pool.. Very friendly staff.

Canadano beach. Not a fabulous breakfast but when in a tropical island that’s not usually a big deal. They could do with a better coffee maker though.
Location in city centre was good and off the beaten path. Pool was nice but not huge. But the area inside the compound was a little oasis which was good for chilling out.

AustraliaThe beds are very low to the ground which may be issue for guests with mobility issues.
We booked the pool access room which is worth it. After a hot day walking around it is great to just get home and flop into the pool. There is pool bar that looks like it is unused, but you can order a beer from the reception and drink at the pool bar. At night the hotel is quiet, and you can get a good night's rest. To get into the main part of Ko Samet it is a 300-meter walk. It is busy is the main area but where the hotel is located it is quiet. The staff are great and the breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious.

SwitzerlandBreakfast could have more options and it should not be just exposed to the heat like that. Couldn’t eat the vegetables because they were mushy and warm. In general not many options.
I liked the facility. You only have to walk a few minutes to the beach with all the restaurants. The rooms were comfy and the bed as well.

SpainI enjoyed my stay here, it's a small boutique hotel. The breakfast was good and the location was only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The pool is big but you can't relax in it, except for some seats in the shade.

United KingdomIt was 40 degrees and they would not in any way let us check in even 30 minutes earlier. We arrived at noon to check in and we asked if we could have the rooms a bit earlier and they did not even try or budge stating it’s their strict policy. I have been to so many hotels that compromise if a room is ready. With their check out being 11:00am a room should’ve been ready if they actually wanted to accommodate us.
The pool was stunning and the rooms were quite aesthetically pleasing.

FranceWe do not recommend the breakfast served on sun. No western food, only thai food. No good coffee !! We had to have breakfast outdoors at a coffee shop on the main street. The A/C was noisy. Lack of 🔌 when you have several electronic appliances to plug in. No liquid soap to wash hands
Location, staff, the room was small but spotless. The pool was good to relax. The balcony is a good thing to get clothes dry.
