Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. P&T Hostel has become a 2nd home for us. We stayed for 2 weeks & will definitely be back. Pim, Tony & crew are awesome hosts & you'll be looked after. Fantastic location with whatever you need nearby. Have stayed here on multiple occasions & will be returning asap. Phil.

The place could be cleaner, specially the bathroom. The bed is also really bad and the sheets too
The location is great and the restaurant under the place is amazing, good food and super cheap! The staff is from another level, the girls are superb!

motorbikes to rent are a bit expensive (have to pay for the rental + gas)

Room was wayyyy too noisey! Couldnt sleep at night cause of all the road noise! Room is basic but ok. Not much to do in the area apart from being close to the pier

Next to a busy enough road so it wasn't the quietest.
Stayed here a night to be closer to the airport before our flight home. We were pleasantly surprised to see the size of our private double room. It even came with a large fridge and balcony with a sea view which was incredible for the price! The bed was very comfortable.

Very simple bunk beds but if you stay only 1 to 3 nights it's absolutely fine.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a restaurant downstairs with tasty and cheap food. It's close to the airport and you can rent a scooter 250 bhat from them.

this hostel was amazing!!! The room had an airconditioner and a fan. The bathroom and the shower were fine. The employees here were sooo nice!!! My friend hurt his finger and his foot and they were always so friendly and offering things to help. They always asked how you were feeling and were truly so happy and polite. We teally enjoyed our staying here. They also have a restaurant which is really cheap and yummy!!! We recommend it a lot.

There were no locks for the doors.
The beds were nice and the property was in a good location. There was also a restaurant and bike rental downstairs.

They didn't let me rent a scooter because of limited experience and bad conditions. A little disappointed but I don't really blame them. The beds weren't the most comfortable but on par with other hostels in Thailand.
Very friendly staff, great meals and drinks for a great price, relaxed atmosphere to meet fellow travellers

Such a fantastic place to stay at while on Koh Samui. Pim & Tony are awesome hosts, their staff can't do enough for you, it's inexpensive, the restaurant food is as good as you'll find anywhere. Not too far from whatever it is you like to do, or hang around & lap up the serenity & hospitality. Each time I stay there is pleasantly memorable & I'm certain that next time will be no exception...Phil Cooke.

Maybe the noisy traffic in front of the hostel but nothing really to complain about
Staff is the best❤️ super lovely, happy and friendly!Location is very close to the airport (only 30 minutes by foot) and Pier (3 minutes)…for me perfect to stay over for one night to catch the ferry the next day. Super cheap prices, for accomodation as well for the delicious food and beer. I loved the Life music when I arrived, gave an amazing athmosphere🫶🏼

The restaurant which is a part of the hostel, tasty and cheap food. Should mention that the location is not where all the parties are, so be aware of it if your intentions are going to the center to meet young people

Met my expectations for a hostel :)
Very convenient, value for money. I got a private room that was basic but wasn’t expecting luxury for £14! Perfectly good shower and my own aircon. Tried the 60baht pad khra pao and it was up to scratch 😋 staff were loveeeeely and smiley :) easy to get to the beach for a walk. Also, private taxi to the airport was cheaper than grab.

my mistake was to take seperate room, which was without windows, like a prison :D the price was very cheap, but.. be careful what you are ordering
location is perfect, staff is very nice and helpful. I came here very tired and they were supportive, thanks for that :)
