Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIf anything, I would suggest get a few more pool lounges and some shade umbrellas. There are only 7 lounges, but in saying that we always got one when we wanted one.
This is a very old hotel, but that said the rooms a clean and comfortable and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, it was quiet and poolside. Phi Phi has a reputation of a party island and we were bit concerned about that. To our surprise, it was lovely, hotel is easy walk to anywhere on the island, beaches, loads of restaurants and bars, shopping and spas. Come 9.30pm it was quiet which we appreciated. Pool area is lovely.

PolandThe main downside was the loose power sockets in the room, which made it difficult to keep chargers in place. Bringing an adapter or something more stable for charging would be helpful.
P.P. Palmtree Resort is perfectly located in the town center, with easy access to all the beaches. Despite the central location, the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the hotel features a lovely pool with a pool bar and comfortable loungers. The room includes a convenient control system for lights, air conditioning, and housekeeping requests. Rooms are well-equipped and quiet, even offering an emergency flashlight—a thoughtful touch.

United KingdomThe bathroom facilities in the room could use some TLC. The outside shower is quite of a unique feature, adding character to the stay, but could be better set up rather than with plastic curtains that prevent a person from showering without wearing swimsuits
Excellent location, lovely pool with swim up bar, excellent breakfast. We stayed in the suite, and the staff were very lovely to decorate it further.

AustriaNo complaints.
Not far from the port, central but without too much noise intrusion. Reasonable breakfast with Thai/western choices. Eggs cooked to your preferences. Rooms cleaned daily. Soap and shower gel provided as were beach towels.

AustraliaNothing to not like.
Was really great value, was half the price of our two nights prior and twice as good. Although it is right in the heart of the busy noisy area, the windows were double glazed in our room; the feint music that could be heard did not keep us awake. Pool area was lovely, breakfast was great. Staff were fabulous, so friendly and helpful. No lift and we were two floors up but the very enthusiastic bellboy carried our bags up for us, so not an issue.

LithuaniaStaff could be more polite and their English is not really good, hard to understand what they are saying :) Small issues like door lock, toilet flash, and some paper on the floor from previous guests.
Location is perfect, just in the middle of Phi Phi, so easy to access anything you need. Very good breakfast.

IsraelThe staff was highly unresponsive - our bags waited in the lobby for several hours even though we repeatedly asked them to be delivered to our room (and the staff repeatedly promised it was on the way). We eventually went down to get them ourselves. There are a lot of musquitos and the staff leaves the doors open for the cleaning - so expect many of them to hang in your room and bite you during the night.
Great location, good and comfortable bed and quite room - even though it is located in the heart of Phi Phi town. The outdoor shower in the suite was amazing.

The rooms were beautiful and very comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The location was good, easy access to everything (typical for a small island).

IsraelThe bed was too stiff for our liking, the tub took over 30 minutes to fill, and there was no way to lock the outside door (although it was 3rd floor)
The location and the staff were great, the breakfast had a lot of option and was good, unfortunately we didn't try the pool to review it!

AustriaThe breakfast was OK. There was a dead cockroach next to the buffet once which caught quite a lot of negative attention, unfortunately.
The hotel is right in the heart of Phi Phi while also being quiet and beautiful. The rooms are pretty with a traditional style and are very clean. There is a pool with a bar in the inner court of the hotel which is very inviting. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThis is such a minor thing but the TV doesn't have cable/netflix/etc - it's regular Thai channels. We didn't really use it anyway as we were out enjoying ourselves at night, so it didn't matter at all, but if I had to say one negative thing, it would be the TV. That's it.
Suite we stayed in was excellent, loved the outdoor shower, the well decorated balcony, and the amazing bathroom. Definitely want to stay in that exact same suite again, if we were going back to Phi Phi.

United StatesThe shower curtains were flimsy and impractical for the showers. A small gust would blow them up and allow other guests a look in. I would suggest buying weighted curtains and better curtain rods.
I loved the outdoor shower.

NetherlandsJust a note for people who are not able to walk much: there's no elevator, so if you have a room on the second floor you have to go up some stairs, but they can help you with carrying your luggage up. And about breakfast: it did the job, but for good coffee or tea you might need to go elsewhere.
The location is great: walking distance from where you arrive with the boat. And it is in the middle of the main town in Phi Phi and surrounded by restaurants, shops, tour operators, supermarkets and near the beach. Good value for money for us. The room had a great shower, cute balcony and it was quiet when we were there. The pool looked great, we didn't swim because of the rain. There are umbrellas in the closet. I liked the art in the room and the beautiful sink. There's a lot of laundry options a few meters from the hotel. We found it was cheapest and most quick to use the washing machines you can operate yourself. I could stay here again.
