Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Location and environment was beautiful, and the room was great - loved waking up to the sunrise

United StatesThere aren’t much in the way of amenities like a nearby cafe or store, so you’ll need to stop in town for supplies. An easy and enjoyable 9 min scooter ride. Not a negative, just something to be aware of. Not the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on, but this is rustic living.
A quiet retreat in the mountains above Pai offers a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle of the town. Bungalows are roomy with fantastic views of rice paddies and mountains. Great for a few days away from the crowds!

SwedenThis is a very cheaply built resort. Some may like the charm of living in a bamboo hut, but the truth is this is just the cheapest construction to build - and that is true for mostly everything in the resort. You can't get more budget than this. Common areas weren't always well maintained, the fish tank had no fishes and just muddy water in it for example. Even at a budget, you can get rid of things instead of letting them deteriorate.
Great view over the paddy fields. Calm area in beautiful Pai.

IsraelSuch a unique experience. The greenery, tranquility, peace, and quiet all combined for a very lovely experience. If you need necessarily an easy shower for use or abathroom in your room, I wouldn't really recommend it but otherwise it was very fun.

SwitzerlandIt can get very cold at night, even in high season. As the bungalow is not fully insulated, I recommend bringing warm clothes, as the sheets provided are clearly not sufficient. I slept very badly because I hadn't anticipated this and so wasn't equipped accordingly. It got up to 10 degrees the night I slept, whereas during the day it was around 30 degrees, so I was freezing. That said, it's more a mistake from me than from the establishment, although I would advise them to provide warmer sheets. If you are aware of this, you'll have an incredible stay :)
Spent one night here. The location and the view are just stunning (amazing sunrise). It's perfect if you want to disconnect and stay somewhere peaceful, away from the crowds. However, it's almost mandatory to rent a scooter to get there and explore the surrounding area. The manager is a kind and welcoming person, rather discreet. The bungalows are simple and have everything you need. Lighting is good at night. The shared bathroom is clean and basic, but you can't expect too much comfort (which is to be expected in a place like this). I recommend this place if you're looking for a unique and different experience from what you're used to.

LatviaNot sure if it was just on weekends but there was quite loud music coming from the city each night, also be aware of all kind of bugs, since it's bungalow and not insulated house they get in, even if the door is closed :)
View was awesome, bed was comfortable and the location is close to city (with bike/bicycle)

United KingdomRight beside the paddy fields overlooking the hills and a temple, it’s pure bliss here. I loved their cat coming for cuddles every day, just sitting in the room watching the sunrise behind the hills. Rented a bicycle to get to town and back, it’s an easy and lovely ride. There’s no restaurant close by but if you’re feeling lazy you can order in via food panda.

ThailandThe detached room is right at the property entrance and sometimes gets noise. On Sunday and Monday morning, the temple closed by, had loud announcements, and woke us up early in the morning. It's not a big deal, but something to keep in mind.
The balcony area is great and private. The area in the back is beautiful, overlooking the mountain and rice field. We stayed in the only room with a private bathroom. The room is a bit small but well equipped with a/c and a projector. Small outdoor kitchen.

SingaporeThe space of the bungalows are not very generous. I’d like to suggest the owner to replace the stand fan with a small ceiling fun to utilise the space. Instead of having stand fan, it is good to have a bedside table with the mirror.
Connected to the nature. You can see the sunrise right in front of the bungalow. It is accessible to the Pai Walking Street within 7 mins by the scooter.

NetherlandsThe bathroom facilities are more than basic. The toilet was smelly and there was no toilet paper on several occasions. Also the huts are quite noisy. You can clearly hear what the neighbors say
The property is located on a quiet place and it is very authentic. The bamboo huts are nicely done and the place in front is nice to relax and or work.
