There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel! I'd like to mention that there's no elevator but we were on the first floor so it wasn't too bad to carry our luggage upstairs (yes you have to carry it yourself).

We booked a deluxe triple room which was quite spacious! Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and looked just like the pictures. Its not a fancy bathroom but it's neat and functional. I remember not being able to find many decent hotel options in Phi Phi in our price range because everything was either too cringe or too expensive (or too far from Tonsai Pier!) So for USD 70 a night for 3 people, this hotel was everything we wanted: Clean, good vibes, good location (10 mins walk to Tonsai Pier). In the centre of Phi Phi nightlife, but also tucked away at the same time so the hotel is quiet but its literally a 3-5 mins walk to all the clubs and bars, beach and famous restaurants like Garlic 1992!

There is a construction going on next to the hotel at the moment. Although there is no noise that irritates us, the fences erected around the construction sites block our view.

Blu Monkey is a boutique hotel chain that has various hotels in various locations in Southern Thailand. The premise lived up to the expectation since it has always received great review from travelers. The location of the hotel on the Phi Phi Island might require some walking from the pier and the hotel is not particularly next to the beach. However, the good thing is that the hotel is pretty secluded from the noisy and busy walking street and it is just an easy 200 m walk to the closest beach. It is also on the street which lead you the the famous Phi Phi Viewpoint. What I like that most about the hotel though is their friendly staff. The receptionist was very helpful and help us arrange a one-day trip to the nearby Maya Bay and the surrounding area. The room is quite basic with all the amenities that you need but what I like most is they give you a glass bottle which you can refill your water from the water tank outside your room. Great for the environment indeed ! Overall, I definitely recommends this hotel. The price that I pay is a bit mid-range but in my opinion, you get more that you pay.

Great position, close to main central area but far away from noises of pubs and parties. The hotel is pretty modern and room was cozy and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was nice and always gentle with guest. Reccomended hotel for stay in phi phi island.

Good location Easy to find Nice interior Apartments are really small It was good for us ( we stayed for 4 days) but if you wanna stay longer there can be uncomfortable Perfect noise isolation 👌 Hotel located on crowded street near beach parties and there are always a lot of people but room is really quiet. You can not worry about good sleep :) Also check in quick and crew so friendly

The bathroom was a bit old, and we were told to wait for entering our rooms till check in time at 14:00 but at 15:00 they were still cleaning and we had to wait. but furthermore everthing was perfect

Great location for being close to everything yet be outside the noise. The rooms are also very clean and good, and the lady at the reception was very nice and helpfull.

The room was super humid, we were't able to be there without air conditioner. If you have any wet clothes it won't get dry. Is everything white like a hospital.

The only good feature is the location.

The building has problems with acoustic and gets very noisy during the night. First two nights we couldn't sleep at all. Spending the whole night awake because of noises and nobody at the hotel caring about it's an absurd. The staff are very gentle and they do all they can but during the night it's a nightmare. Poor staff, they work in a kind-a-slave condition. Don't receive days off in months, there are not recognized by their work, don't receive a decent salary. If you want to sleep or don't want to this situation keep going on with the staff, stay somewhere else.

Super unclean room, bed sheets were disgusting, I had to sleep under the towel and having clothes on me. All plumbing in a bathroom were broken.. the staff who was really friendly is the only plus in that hotel, even though I do not recommend to stay there, specially for $100 per night! Hotel management should respect their guests, it is not a hostel, but 3* hotel. You can’t offer your guests disgusting dirty sheets and mattress and out of work faucet in a bathroom.

Super nice hostel, always clean, hostel staff is helpful are very attentive and nice all the time. Decoration is quite modern and actual and the location can't be better, near from the beach, 7eleven and bars.

We found the bed very hard are not particularly comfortable.

The lady who runs Blu Monkey is very kind and helpful. It’s very clean and has fun decor. The aircon was efficient. She clearly takes pride in the hotel and did our room up beautifully for our honeymoon. Unlike some previous reviews, we didn’t find that the water had a funny smell at all so assume they’ve fixed that problem.

The smell, my god, the smell. The river of sewage you'd need to pass to get to your hotel and sometimes even wade through. It's damp, the room is so very very damp. No ventilation at all unless you open the window (see point about smell above) The view: it was a brick wall, with nothing but trash and sewage below. Bed did have blood on it (wasn't ours) Have I mentioned the smell?

The lady at the counter was very nice. Even being next to the open front "door" it was still very quiet. Very close to everything you need. Room was clean There was a really nice dog outside one time.
