Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe owner of the hotel is very nice and helpful. He He also organized transport back to the main pier for us, for only 100thb each. Bungalows are basic. This place is good alternative to the fancy and more expensive resorts in that spot of the island.

United KingdomFavourite place we’ve stayed in while travelling, really comfy and cute little cabins. Amazing aircon and free water everyday. Lots of space and a perfect place to relax on the quieter side of the island

If I could rate this resort higher stars, I would. The staff here are the loveliest people and so kind and helpful. They helped my boyfriend and I bring our luggage right to the room from the boat. The rooms were so clean and very spacious. This resort is a quiet slice of paradise but has everything you need close by. A minute walking distance from bars, shops, restaurants, and anything you need. It's simply a lovely little village, and this resort made our time here even better. The pool was fantastic. The shower had hot water both days.may I also add the bedding was the softest we experienced our southeast asia travels. We only booked one night, but the second we got there, we wanted to book for longer, but unfortunately, we were heading to koh lanta the following day and already had accomodation booked for koh lanta, But we will return without a doubt. Mr din who works there and helped us from the boats with our luggage, is a real credit to this place. He helped us book our boat for our next island. His kindness and attentiveness to detail did not go unnoticed, and I hope he gets recognition for the hard work he puts into this resort. He really did us fall in love with phi phi. Thank you to all the other staff too, and we will return in future thanks to your great and caring hospital. Much love, Suzanne and glenn from Ireland 🇮🇪

ChileTerrible experience, do not stay here Our stay at this resort was a complete disaster from the start. First, they changed our room without informing us, and when we tried to speak with the manager, the receptionist claimed that the manager “never comes here” (which sounds like a lie—he was probably the same person just pretending). We tried calling the phone number they gave us, and when we explained that we wanted to leave, they hung up on us and never answered again. Completely unprofessional. On top of that, they don’t mention anywhere that this part of the island is completely isolated from the main town. The only way to get here is by boat, which only runs in the morning and returns at the latest by 4 PM. To make things worse, the boat is extremely expensive. Once you’re here, you’re basically stuck. The room was disgusting—dirty, with old or broken furniture, and the bathroom was in horrible condition. Clearly, they do not maintain or clean the place properly. It was so bad that we left the very next day, even though we had booked three nights. Of course, they refused to give us any refund. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better options for the same price or even less. Stay away!

IsraelBEWARE! If you’re looking for night life, this is NOT the place for you. We didn’t know that this is an isolated area that you can only reach by taking a 20 minute boat ride from the main island and the only way back is paying a lot of money for a boat taxi. The resort only gives you free transport upon arrival and departure. Otherwise, it’s good for relaxation only. Most of the area belongs to a private 5 star resort and the nearest beach belongs to them. The next beach is abt 15 minute walk away. It’s the most expensive place we stayed at on our Thailand trip but maybe that’s Phi Phi in general. They came to clean the room but didn’t change the sheets and just made the bed which we thought was strange. There were insects in the room, the bathroom + shower were not clean enough, some of the sockets didn’t work, part of the decked floor was loose and the TV didn’t work.
Perfect location for people looking to relax and get away from the crowds in an Isolated part of Phi Phi. A small village with good restaurants and Very chill vibes. The pool was great and the staff were accommodating, the WiFi was also working well. Massages, pharmacy, laundry, mini market and day trips all available. We rented a kayak and it was a lot of fun. Beach is absolutely STUNNING. The locals are very friendly and amazing people.

United KingdomThere was cockroaches in our bathroom every night, the beds were very uncomfortable and we were kept awake all night from loud noises which we think was from the trees banging on the metal roof. We were also woken every morning at 5am by the local mosque which wasn’t ideal but that’s unavoidable. The location its of was poor, unable to get to the main area unless a boat was taken and you couldn’t return after 7pm, the local beaches were also not useable
The staff were so friendly here and they did everything they could to help, the bungalows themselves are pleasant to look at and sit on the patio to relax. The gardens are also well maintained

AustraliaThe location has its pros and cons. Depending on what your plans are. You need to be aware that if you want to explore Tonsai, you have 2 options. 1, is to walk through the island for about 1,5 hours depending of your pace or 2, pay a taxi boat which will cost you about 800 bath each way on day light or from 1200 and above if at night. Keep in mind that Bakao Resort offers you one free shuttle boat on each way. Upon your arrival and after check out to come back to Tonsai. It's a bit tricky if you need more than that.. But if you just want to be away from the main tourist spot and just want to be relaxed but still with some tourists, then I highly recommend coming here. By the way, I want to come.nack again to Bakao just to relax.
I liked the local village with dirt roads and not vehicles apart of some mototaxis. The style of the restaurants made me feel like I was in a movie with tropical themes. The beach just a few minutes away was another expectacular spot. All the staff members were great people with the best smile. Din always was willing to help you out. The isolation of this place and not being overcrowded was another point to stand out.

United KingdomIt’s a little out the way and quiet, but again we liked that!
Amazing out of the party place vibe. Quite little village with everything you will need. It’s out the way (which is what we liked) there is a free boat to and from the hotel, when you check in and check out. Otherwise you will have to ask if there are guests checking in or out to get the free boat. We found a boat taxi for 1500 tbh to the hotel if there isn’t a free one. The staff are very friendly, we will be back!
