Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RussiaThe room is a separate bungalow. Simple and clean, with shower room (hot water available). After booking you can order a transfer by boat from Tonsai pier. Within a few minutes walking there is a Kao bay beach (part of the beach is public). Also you can walk to the Lana bay beach and possibly get to the Nui beach through the mountain (if not you can always take a taxi boat). If you go to the Lana bay or Nui bay you need the coral shoes! There is a sharp rocks in the water.

United KingdomPlease bear in mind that to get to this north part of the island, the only way is boat. Each trip is 600 baht. We didn’t know this, but the village is amazing if you don’t want to party and want a cute retreat in a slow village.
Cute little cabins in a gorgeous village away from the craziness of phi phi strip. Village has everything you need, secluded beaches and some restaurants. Staff were amazing here.

SwedenIt was on the other side of the island, maybe it didn’t just fit us but I think it’s good to know that it is quite hard to go from this accommodation to the PhiPhi island civilization

AustraliaThe only downside to the location was that the taxi boats cost a lot more to and from the main town. The wifi was pretty bad in the room so we often had to walk to reception for a signal. The rooms could have also had a better clean
The staff were friendly and helpful and it was at a nice quieter part of the island with restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Very little tourists which made it more relaxing.

BangladeshHotel is far away and need a longtail boat to reach there. Which serve the purpose of visiting the beautiful scenario of many islands without additional cost to us. It is better if mentioned during WhatsApp communication by host. Finally, we managed it spending time there in individual efforts to be picked up by hotel arrangement. While booking it is suggested to ask for the contact detail of Boat to save time. Otherwise, this hotel is just value with money we spent.
A beautiful Loh Bagao Bay Beach around in a walking distance. We spent an amazing family time in morning in that Beach and there is a simple Thai restaurant where we had stomach full lunch with full satisfaction. We didn't have much pressure to check-out time. The host was friendly to us.

NepalPlace is nice. Friendly and helpful staff. For people who are looking for cheap hotels this place was worth it. But be prepared that when you arrive at the pier you have to take a boat to reach the location. So if you are looking for very happening place look for something near pier.

United KingdomI would recommend staying in the main Tonsai pier and then getting a boat taxi to this beach if you would like to, rather than staying there. Unfortunately as it is remote you have to get a boat taxi there. They become quite pricey, even if you time it with other guests checking in (boat is free then) you still have to pay which feels cheeky.. No ATM’s, minimart is quite expensive. Music from the bars till early hours of the morning, not quiet at alll. The bungalow is basic, no shower gel or shampoo, no shelves for your bathroom bits. Our bungalow looked onto a grey wall so the balcony was meh.
The property is in a secluded area of Phi Phi meaning fewer tourists and a smaller area for restaurants/ bars. The host was helpful. The boat day organised by the host was great for snorkelling.

CanadaThe beach was close, but the location on booking map is not good (check Google map) and the photo that said 150m from the beach is not real, also the beach is probably not way farther than 250m.
We booked boat tour with them. We were really satisfied! A/C is good. Room is clean enough. Good value for money, even more if you are a family and don't want to book 2 differents rooms.

ThailandAircon takes time to cool the room down. The small bed next to window is still too warm to sleep while the large bed is too cool. Maybe they can install the aircon in a different place and it will be better. Now it flows directly to the large bed. Wifi router is far so we mostly use our mobile internet.
Our room #11 for 3 persons is large and has all we need: 1 large bed and 1 small bed, kettle, refrigerator, aircon, hot shower, chairs and table to rest and smoke in front of the room. Nice garden with grass floor. Can shower to wash off the sand near Reception. Thanks for the recommendation to Nui Beach: clean, very beautiful and non-touristy. Loh Bagao Bay Beach has tiny black flies biting. Loh Lana Bay has nice beach but many bottles and things. We stayed in Oct so we don’t have a free pickup. Paid 600 Baht per boat per trip. The person who takes care of the place is very nice to talk to. Great Host! It’s like homestay so you can expect a family warm atmosphere but facilities and cleanliness are so so.

United KingdomThe ventilation in the bathroom wasn’t the best and it did get extremely humid in there. The room was fine so we left the bathroom door open for a bit which helped. The sink wasn’t particularly well attached to the wall so I wouldn’t recommend leaning on it, but otherwise the bathroom was fine!
Staff were very nice and helpful, took us from the shore to the room and have a good laundry service. Room was clean, comfortable and had good AC. Right around the corner from some good restaurants and near the beach.

Absolutely loved our stay at Coral Bay. From the pick up on the long tail boat to saying goodbye. Yes the rooms could do with an upgrade as our shower came out of the hose and a few little things needed fixing but the host was so friendly and helpful. A great walk thru the village to a beautiful beach. The room was a good size and the Aircon kept us cool.

GermanyThe AC was too weak in the room, so we changed the room for the following night. Internet connection too weak to even talk to someone.
The way to the hotel is a nice adventure itself, it includes boat trip and trike. The reception-man was friendly and proposed us some nice options to explore the island. A lot of food options nearby.

AustraliaThe only downside I can think of is the room key activated the air conditioning which meant when we got back it was sometimes hot in the room, it cooled down quickly though so wasn't too much of an issue.
I loved the location of this property! We came from Phuket and when we got off the boat into the busy harbour area I was worried we were not going to enjoy our time. Then we got on a boat organised by the Coral Bay owner which took us away from the crowds and into a beautiful quiet bay with clear water and white sand. We had help with our luggage and got taken from the boat to our little bungalow. The owner was lovely and helped us organise a snorkelling trip around both islands which was absolutely great. The room was basic but adequate and plenty of space for four of us plus luggage. It's an easy walk to two different beaches and a nice amount of restaurants, shops, massage places etc.
