Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe beach bure could have benefited from an update but was perfectly comfortable, but not quite mozzie proof! Luckily I packed a roll on mosquito repellant. The stair/ladder up to our hut were also very slippery with wet or sandy feet.
The resort was as expected, on an idyllic beach, relaxed and gorgeous. Staff were outstanding, friendly and attentive. Our family with teens enjoyed the location and relaxation. Afternoon soccer, games at the beach bar and the best Mango shakes ever were a highlight. Nice mix of nationalities and ages at the resort. Highly recommend the fire show - it was truly amazing. We took the fast boat and then the longboat to the resort, and spent only slightly more on the return directly back to phuket on the Phi Phi relax speed boat, which was so much nicer! It was good to see tonsai peer, but waiting around in the sun minding bags while the family explored was less so! The day trip snorkelling and to various local attractions was a great way to spend the day and see some of the magnificent coastlines and islands.

PortugalYou need to pay 150bath/person for a oneway boat from pier to resort as well as to return. This happens because the resort is a little way from the main pier in phi phi, something that we already knew. If you are searching for a place away from the main center, that is not a problem.
Very calm location with great view and sea. The water is clear, very good to swim. The breakfast was very good and the staff always very helpful and kind.

United KingdomI was there over Christmas and did not know there would be a gala dinner on Christmas Eve (to not celebrate was ideal for me and one of the plus points of the resort for me when booking). Very little information available on it and although many seemed to enjoy it and it looked impressive, I think it could have been managed better and communicated better to all. Some staff very friendly, but not all. Basic accommodation but an incredible spot to stay.
Location for a quiet retreat is great. Booked a beach front bungalow which was a good decision. Bar and food were good. Very good value half day tour run by the resort to key points of interest including Maya bay. Good value laundry service.

Italy1) Bar had music all day long and loud in the evening which is a nonsense for a place where you expect silence and natural sound 2) food was nothing else than fair. Far from real Thai taste 3) reception staff does not suggest trips which are not those that can be found everywhere. In particular they did not mention a small very nice village with small restaurants and small shops. Very nice to see and very very good food. Also beautiful bay, Lana bay, is not proposed. Which is great. I think because suggesting these places, easy to reach, would take guests to use other restaurants..... 4) staff with very poor English level
We liked the natural beauty of the place, the beach and bungalows even if very simple

United StatesNo air conditioner! No air conditioner! And no air conditioner. Before you book this hotel, you need to make sure you have air conditioner room! I asked staff, how many air-conditioning rooms do they have. They only have three rooms that have air conditioner for the whole entire resort. Read my review carefully before you book your itinerary for this resort. Please don’t assume that it would be nice and a lot of sea breeze like the weather California in December, Our first visited to this resort in New Year of 2023. We had anticipated that the weather would be pleasant and breezy at the resort. However, we can't recall the details of the room I booked, specifically whether it had an air conditioner or not. Upon reaching the island, we found the hotel's longtail boat waiting for us. We had to transfer to the longtail boat in order to reach the resort, as there were no roads leading to it, only access by boat. After checking in, we were greeted by the friendly staff who then guided us to our room. To our surprise, the room was situated on top of the hill, making it challenging for someone who has bad health. As we made our way up the hill, we found ourselves catching our breath. Despite it being December, the temperature was in the late 80s. When we opened our room door, we were disappointed to find only two fans. We couldn't help but question whether this was a mistake or if it could be true. Unfortunately, this was the only available room for us. However, we decided to stay positive and make the most of it. During our visit to the restaurant, I was bitten by ten mosquitoes. The restaurant and bar area also served as the lobby and resting area. Once again, the heat was quite intense, and there were no alternative options for a comfortable resting area. The beach is fair if you just want to sit there and get sunbathing.
The friendly staffs and kayaking.

United KingdomOur diving course was based out of the next bay up about 200m away but only reachable by boat. We struggled to get a boat to take us first thing as they were really busy (and the hotel boats were in use)! But it was peak season. The dive school didn’t mind we were late. And we just had a cocktail while waiting for a boat in the next bay to be free on the return journey. You just need to settle into Island life and not stress ;-)
It’s in a stunning location, only reachable by boat which means it is more private and removed from the main Tonsai hecticness. There were two large fans in our room, with a big mosquito net over the bed so we slept really well and awoke to gorgeous sunrises everyday. Local diving spots are amazing (we saw turtles, rays, eels, beautiful coral and thousands and thousands of fish!). Yes you need to get a boat everywhere, pay per boat journey, and plan for that timewise but it just added to the charm for us. Yes bring some bug repellent (or they also sell on site) if you’re prone to being bitten like me! Yes rooms are straightforward but they’re super clean, w/en suite bathroom and lovely viewing platform/terrace w/matts to watch the sea. Very friendly staff. Great Thai food. Great massage. Stunning location. Great value.

CanadaNothing to report! I liked it all!
Reception staff and porters exceptionally helpful and kind! Their service far exceeded my expectations. There was nothing I wanted for. They took care of everything! Location was amazing. Quiet and relaxing. Snorkeling directly in front of the resort. Access to a jungle trek to phi phi viewpoints. Bungalow well maintained with mosquito nets. Christmas Eve Gala dinner was good with entertainment. Lots of variety at the restaurant.

AustraliaI would have liked to have a kettle in the room and some beach towels. The massage was not the best.
The beach was sublime, the snorkelling just off the beach was not amazing as much of the coral is no longer there but the fish, the clams and the sea urchins kept us entertained. The location is a little remote as there is no village nearby however the restaurant was very good so this didn't bother us. We took a trek up to the view point and saw monkeys and butterflies, centipedes and mosquitoes. The view was worth it!

FranceThe room was quite dark ...so dark that you have to turn on the lights during the bright day. Bungalows are not really soundproof so quite noisy for many different reasons. The beach is full of rocks and reefs, not the best for swimming. Also don't plan on staying in the city to have dinner...you'll miss the last boat at 5-30 pm, from there nobody will take you back to resort and your only options are walking through the jungle in the dark or getting a cheap room for the night.
The staff was nice..and you can have a good hiking from the resort to the town
