Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaYou must pay for a longboat any time you want to go to the centre. Cockroach and a few bugs in our bathroom but to be expected as it’s in the trees. A lot of monkeys around.
Location was quieter than the centre. Staff were very friendly. Room was decorated lovely for our honeymoon. View from our room was spectacular.

GreeceThe place is ideal for a relaxing and serene beach holiday. The bungalows are situated literally a few steps from the beach. They are very quiet and with all the amenities provided. The breakfast has much more variety than I expected, and the stuffed omelets are out of this world I would certainly stay again

GreeceThe rooms would need a bit update, this is the only thing that this resort needs. New towels, fresh up the walls and furniture, and it would be absolutely perfection!
Absolutely fantastic stay! Perfect location - far away from the crowded center, with a beautiful beach outside the hotel. If needed you can always reach the village by a small boat just with 100thb/person. Even in the night hours ( 150thb/person ). I would absolutely recommend!

PolandThe frontside villas that we rented were pretty old and should be renovated. Even though at night the hotel area was quiet, unfortunately during the day it’s the opposite and it’s hard to relax. Because the houses are not soundproof at all, every morning we were being woken up by loud noises of resort’s scooters and pickup trucks running between the villas. It would be nice to invest in silent electric vehicles! Unfortunately it was hard to find some peace at the hotel’s beach and restaurant as well. Not only because of constant noise of longtail boats engines, but also because of huge amount of annoying flies constantly sitting on you and your food. There are 2 swimming pools but they are very small and looked old and we never used them during our stay
Amazing view from our villas! The resort is situated in a picturesque and rather calm part of the island. All of the houses are located in a beautiful tropical garden on the hill. The more remote area on phi phi is a huge advantage as it’s silent during the night. Anyway the location is not remote as walking distance from the hotel you’ll find few restaurants and bars. If you’re looking for a nightlife it’s really easy to get to the main part of the island. The transport by a longtail boat to and from tonsai pier is available even in the middle of the night and the cost always was 150baht per person.

AustraliaThe only problem with the hotel was that it was far from the centre of Phi Phi Island, which was not a problem for going to the city centre because there were always taxi boats. But to return, none of the boats went to the hotel, so we had to take a taxi boat to another hotel and then walk for about 4 to 5 minutes.

PortugalIt's difficult to reach the city center by foot but there are always boat taxi, even during the night. The breakfast could have more option. The noise of the traditional boats in the morning.
This hotel was really nice surprise to us, away from the crowds of the city center but only at a 10 minutes distance by boat. We were celebrating one year of engagement and the hotel provided us a room upgrade with a fantastic sea view. All the staff are really kind and helpful. The private beach in from of the hotel is a little paradise.

United KingdomThe only issue was the hard beds but we’ve heard this is very common in Thailand. Was totally fine but noticeably harder than our other hotels
Big room, incredible view. On a private beach so just stunning and a nice spacious terrace with the room too. Clear water, fish, nice beach restaurant, all just great. The location in long beach was amazing for us, but you do have to get water taxis back and forth to do anything, and it’s between 100-150 baht per person per way, so that’s something to be aware of. Water taxi is long tail boat, we loved the daily windy trips back and forth with beautiful views! We were on honeymoon and they made us a cute towel display on arrival. Amazing big shower room with view, helpful staff who helped with bags and advice. Overall we’d recommend and had a gorgeous two nights in Phi Phi, also did a tour to Maya Bay snorkelling, we’d recommend the evening boat trip with the bioluminescent plankton! So good.

GermanyThe white deck chairs do not really fit into the scenery, especially since they are not very clean and rather black than white. Also, the prices for rooms, food and drinks are a little bit too high for my taste. But most problematic - and I'm fully aware that tourists are of course part of the problem - is the noise from the longtail boats running up and down the beach from sunrise until way upon midnight. In my opinion, the current Longtail boat setup is one of the most stupid inventions ever made: engines without mufflers howling all the time while skippers try to move the boats out of their parking positions. That said, the hotel itself cannot do anything about it, so it's not their fault but expect to hear a lot of this during your stay. If they would change their setup to, let's say, electric engines, the whole scenery would be totally different! Also, simple mufflers would already help. When crossing over to Shark Point during snorkeling, make sure to pay attention to the longtail speeders crossing your way.
The Phi Phi Beach Resort has a prime location right at the beach with many villas hanging on the little hill above the beach providing stunning views over the beach and Koh Phi Phi. We had a great bungalow with awesome views from the terrace. The room was spacious and clean and so was the bath room. Of course, you need to walk up and down the hill everytime you want to go to the beach or restaurant, but the sight from up there was making more than up for this. The restaurant was located right at the beach and had a nice setting with heavy chairs and tables. The menu included pretty standard thai and western dishes like burgers or simple pastas. Pretty much, what you'll find everywhere in tourist regions around Thailand. Food was good though and so we went there several evenings during our stay. Staff was friendly and they have a fire show every night at the beach bar. Breakfast is OK but nothing special. In front of the beach there is a little snorkel spot (Shark Point) where you can actually see some black tips when snorkeling on the east side of the small reef.
