Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had an amazing balconied hut overlooking the bridge and moored long tailed boats in the Mangroves. Best bar a restaurant next door. Lots of great beaches within walking distance or short Tuk Tuk ride.

Mr Tuna is a very nice man and makes you really feel at home. The view from our room on the bridge was great!

United StatesSimple accommodation at an affordable price. Cabins are super clean, large bed, excellent ac and modest breakfast included (order the pancakes with tea). The biggest highlight is Mr. Tuna himself. His hospitality and welcoming energy made the stay worthwhile. For added convenience, add their transport offer from the Phi Phi ferry for just 700 baht per group (up to 5 guests), ensuring an easy arrival.

HungaryThe 600 baht transfer is a rip-off, the breakfast is light, and the madame is grumpy and eager to see you off at 9:30am.
Amazing peace, just a few people in the village. Everybody friendly, except the "madame".

GermanyThere was no room service, and no means to clean the room by ourselves. The sink of the shower was placed in a weird way so that the water did not run down the drain by itself - which led to some inconveniences using the bathroom. The bathroom sink was not really fixed in place. Overall, it was a rugged experience - nonetheless comfy.
The staff was very friendly, and food at the restaurant associated with the hut was very good. The hut was small and cosy, with enough space to put out belongings. Air-conditioning worked fine, and the place had many cats. Lana and Nuibay are very close, and we could reach them by foot. The part of the island is less crowded than the main port, the village around it is touristy but charming.

South AfricaThe cabin was a tad small but in the end you get what you pay for, so can't really complain.
The almost rural, laid-back location in Phi Phi village is a long-tail boat ride away from all the hustle and bustle of Tonsai Bay and its 'mainstream' shops, restaurants, and cafes. The proprietor is friendly and approachable and will go the extra mile for his guests. We arranged our next transfer to Krabi with him and on the day we left, he went with us all the way until we left on our speed boat to Krabi. It felt bittersweet saying goodbye to him. His level of service was exceptional. Great air-conditioning in cabins.

Switzerlandthe bathroom was very outdated. It was clean, but nothing really worked. The shower had a very weak pressure, the sink was leaking to the floor, when water run. The toilet didn’t want to flush anything but water.
The location was great, it was a bit far from the noise of the restaurants so it was really good. The property had a porch for relaxing, breakfast was included. They organised the paid transportation from the port which was very convenient.

GermanyThe rooms are not in perfect condition. We had the room 7, which the bath pipe leaking when we gone to room and bathroom door not closing. We had to put a baggage behind of it every time to hold the door :) The people in the village especially in restaurants are not too many friendly. They are just bringing the menu on the table, turn around and go away. I think this is because that anyway there are some tourists around there independent which mood they show. In the village there is nothing to do, just eat and go to bed. But there are some markets to buy somthing daily which I find good.
Mr. Tuna is very friendly person and good character. The total points that I gave actually only for him. Otherwise I could review more less. For other staff I can not say the same. They look unhappy and completely different mood. The Rooms are close to some good beaches. You can walk and go there in 5-10 min.

NetherlandsThe price was (in our opinion) high for the quality of the accommodation. The first night we got a smaller room than what we had booked but we had to pay the price of the bigger room. Then we got a bigger room but without any of the facilities described (eg no TV, etc). The rooms are really basic.
We liked the owner, Tuna, who does his best to run the place. Due to Covid, these areas have been strongly hit by the lack of business and people are working very hard to recover. We also loved his open kitchen restaurant.
