Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamWeekday staff were not very friendly or all that helpful. Breakfast is not worth paying for (cornflakes or small sandwiches and no options if you have special dietary requirements). Much better breakfast options at the 7/11 just down the road.
The location was pretty good. Within walking distance of the party and market streets. Lots of decent restaurants nearby and major attractions only a short grab ride away. Very comfortable bed.

CanadaThe day shift lady is freaking controller,You won’t believe how she speaks to customers like ? She thinks she’s a queen everybody has to listen to her unfortunately her English is not that good. Another thing I like to share is their shared room(lower-bed) is very close to ground, AC cold air will make you sick . I remembered the room I stayed ,4women all have slightly coughing, sore throat, runny nose at that 2 days I was there. They can’t change any because the new customer always want A C. Just be very careful when you book their shared room.
The night shift lady is very friendly and helpful

FranceDo not like the staff ( the one who was at the reception when i arrived) . Was a bit rude to me. Also even if there is a like a dining room, do not feel like there is a common space for people to hang out and meet. Felt people to be cold. Would not specially recommend for solo travelers looking to meet other travelers.
The hostel is clean , well equipped with confortables beds. Very nice rooms as pictured.

FranceBreakfast was very disappointing. They will just make some sandwiches and throw them in the fridge, so you can reheat it yourself. Lift is alittle weird because you still need to take the stairs whether you go up or down. Staff is very 'meh' specifically the girl that was on the reception, she was just pointing things and blab the words even thought we are stressed out taking our luggages on the stairs, she was explaining things like she was in a hurry.
Clean property and the location

GreeceThe breakfast and the lady in the morning. They say they provide breakfast and they hide the food and only take out some of it so you don't eat more. It make you feel uncomfortable because if you are more people and less sandwiches you feel uncomfortable to get one. One time we asked for one more and the lady started talking heavily and saying they don't have more and that we were late! After 5 minutes another guest came and they magically had more. Its not the food the problem but that she was impolite. It would be better to not serve at all.
It was very clean! The lady on the night shift was so kind and helpful! The location was convenient and they also kept our bags in the morning.

Singaporedisclaimer: I ended up not staying the night. but first impressions matter. staff are just plain rude. they laugh at everything as though it’s a joke. I get it they’re trying to be friendly but having come from a long journey to Thailand and being sleep deprived is not funny. since they didn’t have any beds at 9am I ask if they knew anywhere else who may have a bed, and without hesitation, just “no”. okay fair enough. I gave my deposit and waited till the check in time (which was 2pm) at 1330hrs, i Went to the counter lady to ask for my deposit back (as my friend had touched down earlier than expected and I was headed to pick her up). she shut me down and told me to “wait till 2 pm because beds are cleaning etc”. I reiterated my point that I was leaving and she raised her voice saying “ya ya I know. 2pm bed not ready. you just wait to 2pm) took her the 3rd time to finally understood what I mean. I think the hostel is great (judging from the other reviews). the airconditiones hall is a plus point. but not the staff.

SpainAir conditioning makes a constant strong noise, the shower flooded the bathroom because it has nothing that separates it from the rest of the bathroom. Breakfast is very basic and runs out quiet fast. The mattress were a bit hard
Great location close to Khao San road. It’s alright if you just plan to sleep there, and It’s fair for what you pay. Also, the decoration of the walls is nice.

United KingdomI'd stayed here last year and liked it a lot. Seems to be going down hill a bit now. Showers and lights broken in bathroom. And the vibe with staff wasn't as good as before. I still like it though and would go back once more.
Clean and good breakfast. Rooms small but comfortable.

BrazilMorning of day 1. I have all my stuff spread inside the room, so i put the 'do not disturb sign' on the door and go out. When I come back i notice they ignored the sign, entered the room and kinda made the bed (but not really because the sheets are the same and my things were still under it). .. On top of that, it's a hostel that accepts kids. Not great for those who enjoy a more quiet setting.

United KingdomWiFi didn't work/ was poor when it did. No instructions for how to use TV (wasn't simple). Have to pay cash (300 bhat) deposit which is quite annoying when most people usually want to get rid of cash before/if flying home afterwards. Breakfast was ok but more cereal and fruit options would help. The same applies to the free snacks too - be nice if fruit was left out. The beds are VERY hard - my partner and I struggled to sleep. The room can be quite bright too if hallway lights are left on. A lot of plastic is used for food and drink with just a rubbish bin provided and no recycling.
Clean and mostly quiet.

UkraineI booked this hostel and came early in the morning about 8. I knew about hotel rules, but I was checked-in and just waited till 14. About 13 the receptionist told me that I could go upstairs. But first I had to leave deposit (I wasn’t told about before). I had no cash, but I could pay by card. She told me that I can’t leave deposit by card and there is a cash machine nearby. But the problem was that my card was Apple Pay in my phone and I couldn’t use atm because Thai atm need a plastic card. Some hotels take deposit for keys, but I asked the receptionist for what it is and she answered just for being here. We started to talk with manager by phone and THERE IS NO SENSE FOR ME, because I suggest a couple options that I can do it in the evening with somebody’s help or I can leave my passport like deposit. NO, she answered no. it’s only 300thb, just take it from my card! the hotel management usually try to solve problems or find better ways… but not this time. I usually don’t rate because of different situations but this service was not ok. they didn’t even try to do anything. BUT the area of hostel was good, clean and I saw the breakfast was good too. that’s why it’s 5, not 1.

ItalyBreakfast is terrible. We had always breakfast outside hostel, if you don't wake up before 8 am there is nothing to eat. We asked reception but they just refill the juice but nothing to eat.
