Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThe hostel has no social vibe - there is no common area and the people stayed in their respective beds without talking to each other. The room is quite dark - it's hard to find stuff without turning the light on. There is no separate shower - it is combined with the WC. I know it's Koh Phi Phi (extremely overrated, I shortened my stay) and it's not the fault of the owners but I really advise avoiding this island, I shortened my stay, it seems like.a giant overcrowded shopping mall.
The owners are extremely kind, friendly and offer a lot of help. The area is very quiet and a bit further from the noisy center. I found the beds very comfortable exactly because they were not too soft, I slept very good.

United KingdomThere wasn't much of a social space and I found a lot of couples or groups were staying. Still managed to get chatting to a few people but still something to consider, it isnt a party hostel. The bathrooms were a little small but doable.
The staff were so lovely and more than happy to help you organise trips and tell you whats going on around the island. They were constantly cleaning the dorm, sweeping it and checking the bathrooms. The beds were comfy and had curtains and their own plug and light. The hostel is only a couple minutes to the beach which is handy.

SpainThe share bedroom is literally a door facing the front porch. Quite a lot of beds for a small space and nowhere to store your big backpacks/suitcases. It is not a sociable hostel at all as it doesnt have common areas to hang out.
Great location away from the night party. The staff regularly cleans the toilets. Good security with lockers and a keycard to come in.

PortugalThe bed was a bit rough
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They advised us about what to do and visit, about tours, and even arranged our travel to Koh Lipe. Also, the hostel is in a quieter area and we always have cookies, fruit, tea, coffee and water at our disposal.

Netherlandsthe beds are stone hard. there’s so common area, you just walk into your room from on the street so you hear all the drunk people walking by. I haven’t felt comfortable at all in the hostel but it was the only place with a bit of good reviews so i didnt have a choice.
Reception and location are nice, free bananas, cookies and coffee

United StatesMosquitoes, mosquitoes everywhere...dorm room, bathroom. Make sure bring m-spay for the day and night.
Cute little place in the heart of Phi Phi - yet far enough from the party bars (2min walking distance to the party and 15min from the pier). The staff is super helpful, and kind. The hostel offers free coffee, tea and cookies. They have small gathering area in the front, however it is not really a chilling area. Wifi was good. The dorm room is dark (using blackout window curtains). The bathrooms (two per dorm room) is small and is all-in-one (toilet & shower in the same space). However, the dorm room and bath were clean, and had daily cleaning.

United KingdomStaff didn’t do anything to create a social atmosphere. There is a very limited common area - essentially an outside veranda so it’s not particularly good for meeting others or making the most of phi phi. Bathrooms were small, smelly and looked nothing like the photos. Beds were like sleeping on wooden planks they were so incredibly uncomfortable. Given it was more expensive than other hostels, I expected much better from Voyagers
Does the job as a place to sleep in Phi Phi Close to the beach Sheets were changed daily and floors swept Quiet place to sleep

AustraliaBathroom is very small but works. Not really any common area outside the dorm aside from the small bar tables out the front. I found the mattresses very uncomfortable but others were fine.
Great location close to the beach. The family who run the hostel are kind and beautiful people and are always helpful and clean the rooms daily.
