Private room was very small, but we didn’t mind that because there are plenty of sofas outside to chill on and lockers to leave your bags in if you want to.

It felt really dark in the room sections, no windows in the rooms at all so you couldn’t tell what time of day it was at all. It was really hot in the communal areas, particularly in the toilets and locker rooms. Quite inconvenient not to have your bag with you and leaving it in the locker. The doors to the rooms also didn’t close easily which led to us having to get up and shut them when people would come in and out at 3/4am. Which was fine if you weren’t too fussed about a party vibe but it was a little annoying if you wanted to sleep.

The pool was amazing. The beds were really comfy. Great location to everything. The vibe was really nice here too.

Put some coat/towel hangers on the wall outside the bunks to properly hang things.

The staff were amazing!!! The dorms rooms were very comfortable and had everything in your bunk. The cleaners don't stop working there and it is an extremely sanitary environment.

There are no windows in the shared rooms. Was fine for me but travellers should be aware of it.

Great hostel! + pool and bar on rooftop + comfortable beds with sockets, small safe and light + tasty food being served in their restaurant + clean showers and toilets (shampoo available) + staff is very friendly and helpful + 15 m to the beach; bars, restaurants and a 7/11 are very close as well Stayed here for two weeks in total and was very satisfied. Not that much of a party hostel so it's mostly quite during the night. The higher price probably keeps a certain type of guests away. Showers and toilets are being cleaned all day long. Some activities like hiking are being offered. Not the most social place I had been to.

Everything was great.

Very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and very helpful staff. There are both large lockers available in a separate room for large bags, as well as a small bedside locker. I would always stay again at Savage if I came back to Koh Tao.

Some of the staff weren’t very helpful with information on the island. Sometimes they were distracted with each other/other staff rather than listening to us.

the toilets were always dirty, many times with no toilet paper, out of order or the doors wouldnt close properly.

I liked the facilities distribution, and the spacious lockers to keep our things. The bed area was comfortable and had enough space to keep your things inside organized, I also like the blinders for the bed bunks.

Doors to dorms have an alarm if they are not closed properly. 12- 16 people not closing the door when they leave is torture if you are a light sleeper especially if you have a bed near the corridor you can hear the other 5 rooms alarms too. Privacy curtain is actually made of mesh so you can see through if you have your light on - there are no changing rooms only the small shower. Not many events hosted by the hostel so can be quite hard to meet people if travelling alone.

Beds comfy, mostly very friendly staff (won’t single out the one unfriendly person). Hot showers with shampoo and body wash, lockers with codes, pool looks amazing (didn’t get to use it because it rained my whole stay) but think Ibiza chill out vibes.

It got hot in the pod beds when the curtains were down. The pool was heavily chlorinated and made your skin feel weird and eyes sting. The separation between the dorm rooms and the locker room was annoying when you wanted to get your clothes.

The location was great right by sairee beach, the setup of the pool and bar area was really good. Cool chill spots on the second floor sofas.

The facilities - shared bathrooms, shower rooms - area were extremely clean and were constantly being cleaned by staff. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm with a group of 6, the beds are very comfortable and the AC was really good. The bunks are very private with blinds, personal lights, plugs and a safe. Rooms are small but the space inside the bunks are great.

Too noisy sometimes as guests may come back very late. The room lights were also automatic so sometimes it will get too bright if someone moves around late at night. Also the free towels provided used to be very clean but now many of them seemed to be stained

I liked the automated lock using the key cards and the very comfy beds.

Savage is in the centre of everything you could want and yet isn't too hectic of a hostel. Great for solo travellers with heaps of activities and amazing staff who will help you with anything!
