Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThis resort is an oasis just blocks from the Main Street in old Sukhothai. Rooms and balcony are very nice. Pool was great to cool off in. The staff keep everything very clean and all is well maintained. Breakfast was delicious! Rent a bike to tour the historical park and surrounding ruins.

DenmarkA bit far from the temples, but it also makes it quiet, and if you don't mind walking a bit or going by bicycle, it's not a problem at all. You can easily find the place, also when it gets dark.
Very nice place, great room, nice pool area, good breakfast, nice staff

AustraliaThe biggest downside was the extremely slow Wi-Fi. Having spent over a month in Thailand, this place definitely had the slowest internet I’ve experienced. It would be great if they could install more Wi-Fi access points throughout the property.
During check-in, the staff kindly explained the nearby tourist attractions and were always willing to help with any requests, which I really appreciated. The resort’s facilities exceeded my expectations, and I also liked the daily room cleaning service. The breakfast menu was diverse, and the resort’s location was convenient, being close to historical sites and the night market.

ThailandNothing really - staff facilities , cleanliness food all god and overall very good value for money. Would recommend. Quiet off main road location.
Room very clean and well appointed. Large size and good facilities - shower tea making etc. All rooms have a balcony/ sitting area overlooking garden and pool. pool clean, not too much chlorine and a good size to swim. Nice gardens . C lose to good restaurants and an easy walk to Historical park ( around 15 minutes). Hotel rents good enough bikes for 50 baht for 24 hours. Breakfast was good enough for a few days as only small changes daily but reasonable mix of Thai and western options.

United StatesAbsolutely charming location. Wonderful staff. Clean and quaint. The porch set up for enjoying a morning coffee was fabulous with the view of the grounds and the bird song. We loved being able to rent bikes from the hotel and goto Sukhothai Historical Park.

United KingdomNothing!
We liked everything! The hotel is beautiful with attractive buildings, large, airy neutrally-decorated rooms with good quality furniture, and the gardens and swimming pool are well-kept. The beds were comfy, the AC worked well, the bathroom is a generous size, clean with good shower pressure. Breakfast was buffet-style and included in the price. There is a good selection of Thai & Western options and the setting next to the garden is very pleasant. Staff are courteous and friendly and can help with transportation queries, booking tuk-tuks to the historical park etc. Overall we had a great stay here and think Scent of Sukhothai is great value.

New ZealandStaff at reception know enough English to get most of what we asked, but nothing out of the ordinary.. just an observation (not a complaint - as I don't speak any Thai). In fact, most of the older generations of town folk don't speak English.. In a way, it was lots of fun trying to communicate by (mostly) sign language - and knowing that the town is still not ruined by tourism! Water in the swimming pool was not clear like most of all the other places we have stayed. Beware the mosquito's.. they are lethal!
Can hire a bicycle and is just a short bike ride to the Historical Park. We went to the central park in the morning, then came back to the accommodation for a swim before heading out to the north park in the afternoon. Very easy ride. Ladies at reception extremely helpful, organising transport out to the airport and an early breakfast before we left. Breakfast was great (I noted a few reviews that it wasn't so good, so assume they have improved) - Choice of Thai rice, eggs, sausages, ham, toast, pancakes, museli, orange juice, brewed coffee and tea.

AustraliaHotel bikes were old, so I rented nicer bikes for the same cost around the corner.
Lovely hotel in great location in quiet street however, near to the historical park and places to eat. Large comfortable room with all required, including kettle and plenty of water. Nice bathroom and laundry service available. Helpful staff, nice breakfast. Beautiful gardens & lovely fairly private pool area to enjoy after a hot day out. It appears that there is much maintenance underway post Covid to ensure all is very nice at the resort. Would choose this hotel again.
