Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Silavadee is stunning. This property delivers a beautiful and relaxing experience in a very wel laid out and managed resort. The rooms / villas are superb. the fitout and authientic timberwork are well designed and maintained. The rooms are large and spacious. The bathrooms are excellent. The beds are super comfy. The view was amazing - being high it had half jungle / palms / tree tops with associated birdlife and half ocean with its many moods and incredible sunrises, The restaurants are superb - great staff / menu / value. The pools are great - all was very and surprisingly quiet whilst there, but managed perfect weather every day during early October.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Koh Samui, you should definitely choose this place. You feel very special every moment you stay here. Tropical fruits renewed every day, preparation of the room for sleep at night, tastefully furnished rooms, a perfect pool and garden will make you feel like you are in heaven. Additionally, you can eat very nice food in their restaurants.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Silavadee. We stayed in an ocean front villa with private pool for 6 nights in July 2023. I have tried to put together a balanced and detailed review in the hope that it might be useful to other travellers considering their accommodation options. Unfortunately the weather (in July) was not great for most of our stay, with some sun mainly on the first and last days - the rest of the time it was mostly cloudy with frequent showers (mostly light). I think on balance we were slightly unlucky - from what I have read and been told, even though the weather can be mixed at this time of the year on Samui, it is unusual to have periods of several days with rain and little sun (July is not yet full monsoon season on the gulf of Thailand). Despite this, it was still warm enough all the time to swim in the pool (even when it was raining!), and the evenings spent out in town were mercifully mostly rain-free. The resort offer a transfer service to/from the airport for 750 THB, which is not outrageous. We made our own way to the resort for a fee of 800 THB organised on the spot at the airport (note that it is possible to get a taxi to/from the airport for closer to 500 THB eg with Grab, which anyone visiting Thailand should definitely download and use for taxis. Also, taxis on Samui are generally more expensive than in other parts of Thailand including Bangkok). Arrival and check in at the resort was a pleasurable and smooth experience. The reception area is well-presented and maintained. We were offered a refreshing drink and the staff were calm and attentive. The resort is not huge, but it is hilly, and buggies are provided to get around (driven by staff). We took a buggy to the room when checking in. This, and when we checked out with our luggage, were the only times that we used a buggy while at the resort, and our villa was one of the furthest from the reception.

IrelandThe resort is a bit away from the towns, but we knew that before booking. Silavadee organises a shuttle bus to both Lamai and Chaweng which can be used to visit the towns.
We had an excellent stay at Silavadee. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. Messaging on the app when we wanted to book anything or ask a question was really smooth. There was a broad selection for breakfast, and the food at both restaurants in the evening was delicious. We also did the Thai cooking course and market trip with a chef which was very fun and well done. The room and private pool looked like the pictures. We also enjoyed the private beach on the resort.

AustraliaI mean not much. It isn’t cheap. It’s not brand new so small imperfections showing up. But we plan to rerun
There was nothing that was too difficult. Our room had a pool with incredible views. The breakfast is so incredible also with stunning views. Has two pools, a private beach, spa, a Thai and a standard restaurant. What more would you want.

AustriaThe staff is very service-oriented and extremely courteous. The breakfast is simply great. Both the beach and the 2 pools were not very busy during our stay and there were always enough seats available. The entire complex is very well maintained and conveys a pleasant sense of calm. 100% feel good factor, as well as recommendation.

United KingdomThe spa services are the same price as in European cities/much higher than local thai massage spas so we expected a lot but were slightly underwhelmed. Great set up/environment but the massages themselves were not the best we had unfortunately.
Excellent service/amenities. The location is a bit remote/secluded which we liked, 15 minutes from Lamai and 20 min from Fisherman's village/Bophut with shuttles available from the hotel. Great food, breakfast with a wide variety of options (Truffle scrambled eggs, pork skewers and dim sum were the highlights). same for lunch at Moon (room service is not the quickest). Excellent Thai dinner at the Height. Nice private beach with baby friendly activities offered by the staff. Overall, very good stay with friendly and professional staff.

BahrainMy friend didn’t get the room she booked. Nice room just like mine but no view, a jacuzzi they couldn’t use, and a pool that was too small to do much in. Another thing (but this is out of the hotel’s control) is the beach was way too rocky to swim in and made it impossible. Pools would have been nicer if they had a cooler - or a public jacuzzi. Overall it’s such a huge property I expected there to be more pools for those who don’t have one in their villas.
My room was beautiful and comfortable! I had a nice view, a jacuzzi, bathroom with shower and bath along with a nice window into the bedroom, and a super comfy bed. The pools, beach and dining options were great overall. The app is really good to use and buggies were always available to take you to and from places. I also loved the spa and did 2 treatments there. The staff are all so kind and helped with every request we had, including arranging taxis and suggesting where else to go.
