Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe only criticism was the water temp and pressure showers - both the rooms we had experienced the same issue of almost no water then high pressure and changing temperatures
The location was brilliant being next to clock tower , main restaurant and night life as well as close to market.

BahrainNothing major. Just a suggestion to add brown bread and some pastries
It is a moderate sized boutique hotel, well designed and looks new and clean. The location is very good, walking distance to restaurants and shops and the Sunday night Bazaar. We got a free upgrade to a Suite, which was a nice gesture. The room is spacious and clean. Bathroom is also big with enough toiletries. Bed is comfortable. Then staff are helpful and speak good enough English. The Breakfast is moderate, mainly Asian but sufficient with few egg choices, only white sliced bread, no pastries and no cheeses. There is no pool or gym.

ThailandThe hotel is located in the heart of the city, nearby the clock tower and many restaurants. You can easily tour the temples in the city on foot. The hotel staff welcomed us with a welcome drink and waited a short time for check-in. The room is very clean and comfortable. In the room, there is tea from Chiang Rai's famous plantation for tasting and and there is also a complimentary all drinks in the refrigerator that you can drink without worrying about the cost additional. There are also shampoo, conditioner and soap products from THANN available, making me feel relaxed and worth resting.

United StatesThe only negative for me was that I had an 8:00 am tour and was told to put down the time I wanted to have breakfast. I wrote 7:30, showed up but my breakfast was not ready till almost 8:00 am so I really wasn’t able to enjoy it properly. But the staff did feel bad and this was not the worst thing in the world.
Very respectful staff; eager to please. Quiet room; breakfast made to order and is very good; ie eggs, fruits, etc. You are about a 10 minute walk to the bus station and very central.

United KingdomIf I was forced to find a suggestion for improvement I'd say they should provide/offer bread with the fry-up breakfast.
Attentive, helpful and always smiling staff, rooms well furnished and a wonderfully quirky lobby and ground floor area, with water features, which was a pleasure to see and walk through each morning or upon our return. And the location, with Chiang Rai's clock tower visible from the entrance and the night market a short stroll away. Would stay again without a shadow of a doubt.

ThailandGet better control over the late night, after midnight partying, loud music. I was disappointed about that. We had no problems with the hotel or the staff, like usual it is the foreign tourists.
The breakfast was ordered from a list of set items the night before. No buffet breakfast. When you go to the restaurant in the morning, your breakfast is brought to your table. It was all very good, the staff is exceptional.

SingaporeNothing! I am sorry for my shortcomings such as ordering a late night snacks at almost to 2100 hours yet you guys are the best and allowed me to have my fish and chips.
The lady receptionist (I forgot her name again) was welcoming with her smile! She explained to me about the method to use the clock tower key card. After I stepped into the room, I immediately fell in love with it. The amenities are superb( you guys can don't bring your toiletries as it's all provided for) from the decor to the air conditioning to the water heater. Previously I saw that some complaint about the water heater being faulty but it is not guys. (Me being from a household that uses a manual way of using the shower knobs to get the perfect temp at home knows how to use it) The trick is to turn the knob clockwise and let it fully turned. After 2 mins turn the knob anti clockwise to 12 noon clock position. Then the water will be perfect! The room is clean! And don't make me start with the bed, I slept like a log guys! In the morning when I wanna wake up from subuh, the birds were chirping naturally and that was my alarm clock for the entire 3 days I was at Sooknirund Hotel. The food! OMG! The shrimp 🍤 fried rice was my go to breakfast. And they included dessert as well. Drinks were unlimited as I was told you could reorder and order more if you are not full. Thank you to Mr KYM for wishing me a HBD early in the morning of the 26th (Mon) right before I went for my Full day tour. Also, the surprised birthday cake was delicious! Tha k you to the Sooknirund Hotel team for the dedication going the extra mile for me. And I am sure for other hotel guests as well. There are amneties nearby a 10 mins walking distance to eg a cat cafe, spa (recommend Grand Spa) and many money changers ATMs too. It is near to the clock tower and each hour I realised the clock tower will rang. At night on the Sunday 25th Aug as I walked past it, there were some light and sound shows. The Chiang Rai Bazaar Market is also nearby to Sooknirund Hotel guys. If you want to be near the centre city w/I breaking your bank, I highly recommend the Sooknirund Hotel!

NetherlandsIt is somewhat noisy till midnight from cafes nearby, after midnight it is quiet. Also it doesn't really comfortable having toilet not well separated from the sleeping part of the room. Not a big deal, but it is.
Nice interior of the hotel, good restaurant for breakfasts and dinners (but I'd rather eat at the night market which is very close).

IsraelThe shower and bathroom area was essentially in the room, separated only by a glass door, not really my style. The room didn't really have sufficient storage space. The pubs are located relatively close, thus it's not completely quiet during late evening, but not enough to disturb our sleep.
The hotels best assets are the fountains and the amazing inner courtyard and garden that lead you from rhe lobby to your room, the atmosphere is so serene and relaxing you don't want to leave the hotel. But if you do leave, you are in the bustling center of town, close to the night market and the nightlife district. The room was spacious and relatively comfortable with a huge shower. And as everything in the hotel it was immaculate.

SingaporeSome guests were smoking in the garden courtyard and this totally destroyed the beautiful environment of the garden courtyard. However, the staff did not take any action to advise smokers not to smoke in courtyard. Probably smoking was allowed but hotel should consider relocating the smoking area. The side lamp in the bedrooms are quite a hazard - kept knocking into them. Please readjust the height of the side lamp!
The courtyard was beautiful and serene. Nice ambience with a tasteful touch. There were also many cosy corners for guests to lounge around. The motorbike at the entrance was cool! Convenient to walk out for food, massage and other amenities.
