The outside area was pretty shabby. Felt quite dirty and one night someone slept out there! It was right outside the door to our private room and the walls were very thin so could hear people chatting and getting on the beers late into the night and in the morning too!

The bathroom stank of damp, facilities were dirty, didn’t even see a member of staff to check in and all the doors are left unlocked you get no key & there are no lockers, the communal area is average at best

There was no staff. I literary mean nobody was there. I had to text the property on booking and after few minutes they answered “go in room 1 and take a free bed”. No keys, no passport asked. Even the morning after nobody ever showed up

Its a very cheap hostel, so maybe keep that in mind when you’re booking (some of the people staying there are not very aware of hostel etiquette - I don’t really care myself but it is a bit grim to walk into full moons all the time 😅)

Nice place and nice location. When we arrived, they were making some renovation, so we hadn’t the full experience are a lot of spaces were not available. But the room was big, and we loved the murals. No toilet paper or soap, but I think it was due to the renovation thing. But for the price, no need to be picky 😁

I received a message from Ann the owner telling me this hostel was empty so I'd been moved to Sunny Tayai instead, so that's what this review is about. Good location, Ann is very friendly. You're likely to meet a bunch of characters who are happy to chill and chat on hammocks all day. Brilliant location to quickly dash to the walking street.

Hostel was OK to stay for one night. Unfortunately I had a problem to check in as there no one at the reception ( time was around 3pm)for a first 20 min of waiting. I called the phone number provided and was asked to wait a little longer as somebody was going to the hostel. at one point, there were 5 others travelers who just arrived to the hostel who were waiting with frustration. After waiting for almost 30 min I send a text message asking how much longer I need to wait and been giving an instruction which bed I can take...

Location is good and the private room was spacious. Facilities were basic but appropriate given the price.

Very hard to check in as staff are hardly there, we had to come back three times until we were able to get the key to our room. The common area was very dirty (lots of empty cans, cigarette buts etc) and we only saw one member of staff once the three days we stayed. Some people actually slept on the communal sofas which were unclean. Other guests tended to smoke a lot of weed in the common area all day and then stay up very late being loud, one night until 5am as no staff around to tell them to be quiet.

The place is very dirty. People leave their food and rubbish around everywhere. Bathrooms also disgusting. The hostess made some nasty comments to us. Would not stay here again.

The social area is very relaxed. WiFi is good. Close to the city centre.

We had mold in our bathroom…. We had no airconditioning unless we paid double the price. Our bed was really hard…

toilets weren’t that clean. the sink that was in our toilet leaked so the floor was always wet. you have no privacy in the room as there are no courtains in the beds. the aircon was never on. and the common area is not pretty. you have some couches and a place to hang but it’s a bit depressing. they provide drinking water but there is no kettle or anything else

there is no organisation with the beds, she wasn’t sure if there was space left when I arrived (even though I booked), put me in a bed which was taken and ended up moving me to a different hostel of hers

nice comfy atmosphere, hammoks everywhere, nice chill area, the owner is (probably) really nice, didn’t spend much time with her but some of the others did
