Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Staff were so lovely. Super friendly and willing to help. A little ‘fat’ from things but still general in the grand scheme of things. Lovely and clean beds

- Not enough showers/toilets for the amount of people in the room. - Nowhere to hang your clothes/towel in the shower. - Lockers were too small for a big backpack. - Not very social as there aren’t any activities.
- The staff were always very nice and happy to help. - Both the room and the bathroom were cleaned multiple times a day. Beds were also made every morning. - Beds were comfortable. - Towel is included and they gave you a new one every day. - Shampoo + showergel and even some toiletries in the bathroom. - They had free water, bananas, bread and cookies. - Nice location away from all the noise.

The place has an excellent location. The rooms have luggage storage, and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are in very good condition, and the place is always clean. Cho and the rest of the staff are always very welcoming and friendly. They make the place super comfortable and convenient for relaxing.

The staff were the most friendly I'd come across in Thailand! So willing to help. I'd come back sometimes and they'd hosed off my sandy beach shoes. Always said hello, very helpful!

Walls are kind of thin and flimsy so we could really hear the snoring neighbors in both dorms but that’s just typical hostel life
The two staff members we met were sooo sweet and friendly. They even were able to accommodate us to fix the dates of our booking last minute. They have snacks, filtered water, and the location is an easy walk to the beaches, harbor, and viewpoints without getting too much noise from the bar scene. Everything else is pretty standard hostel fare

We had beds near the door which were furthest away from the Aircon unit so was very hot at night. Also there were so many mosquitoes, I got lots of bites overnight and struggled to sleep with them buzzing around me. Beds quite squeaky and loud so anyone moving in the night would wake up the room.
Staff were great and accommodating. Hostel was clean. Location was good, close to the beach and start of hike to viewpoint.

The staff were really great! So friendly, kind and always helpful as well as hard working. They even tidy your bed and bed space each day! THANKS ladies! Also great to have cold and hot drinking water free and breakfast too! The location is great too, a few minutes walk to the beach and close to everything. Bathrooms could do with some updating, but always had hot water and always clean.

Nothing. Everything was perfect
A lovely stay in a great location. Minutes from the beach, incredibly clean, great breakfast. The highlight has to be the staff. The most welcoming, friendly, beautiful people I've ever met.

There wasn't anything I disliked.
The staff were amazing and so friendly, the place was always being cleaned constantly. Small touches like getting a new towel daily and your bed made really made the experience. You are just far away enough from the party centre to get sleep when you need it.

This sweet little hostel is slightly away from the busy centre, but it's still less than 5 minutes to the beach and beach parties. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful! I also liked the free pancakes and sandwiches:)

The staff were amazing, opened the door for you, made your bed during the day, hung your wet bathing suits to dry, cleaned the room many times a day. It was hotel level customer care
